Song is Rise by Katy Perry.
This is one of the final chapters in this story. I hope y'all enjoy it!
Sirius' POV
It was chaos as the dwarves separated from the elves, turning to fight their new enemy. It seemed as though Orcs were far worse enemies. I was inclined to agree. The elves, however, stood still as they awaited their king's command. I glanced up and saw Thorin watching the oncoming orc army with panic and horror.
"The elves..." Bilbo whispered to Gandalf. "Will they not fight?"
"Thranduil! This is madness!" Gandalf cried out, trying to reach him through the crowd. The dwarves had, by now, nearly completed a wall of shields. The Orcs were nearly upon them, and it still appeared as if Thranduil did nothing. Suddenly, just as the Orcs reached the dwarves, a company of elves sprang over them and engaged the enemy. Once all of the elves had finished, the dwarves broke their wall and charged forward. From then on, it was chaos. Bard, Gandalf, and Bilbo quickly helped relocate the army of Men to the city of Dale. Azog had sent another army to attack it, engaging our forces on all fronts. I helped where I could, attacking any random orc I saw about to slay any warrior whose back was turned. The rest of the elves, including Thranduil, also turned back to the city. I glanced at the mountain, and was disheartened to see that no help would come from there. I hoped that they were coming soon. We finally reached the city, and Azog's forces were already causing devastation. Bard immediately went off to find his children and get them to safety, while the rest of us joined the fray. As the haze of battle took over my vision, coating everything in red, I lost all control as I tore through orc after orc. But I could tell that we were losing. A quick glance at the battle happening at the foot of the mountain told me that the strength of the dwarves was failing. They would soon be gone. A glance at the city told me that we were losing it. We needed to level the field. But how? Then, as an orc horn sounded, it hit me. Orcs and goblins did not fight well together, especially without their leader. If we take him out, then a fight between them would break out in about ten minutes, tops. It would take them awhile to decide how to proceed. Then, we could scatter and overwhelm them. It wasn't a good plan, but it was the best I had. I decided to get Gandalf, and see if he would help me get to Ravenhill. As I bounded through the battle, taking out as many Orcs as I could along the way, I heard a sound. A most beautiful sound. It came from the mountain. I jumped up on the wall, and I couldn't believe what I saw. As soon as the trumpet stopped, the largest bell I had ever seen smashed through the wall closing the mountain in. And, once the dust settled, Thorin Oakenshield, no longer bearing his crown and kingly armor, ran out, his company close behind him. The dwarves immediately parted for him, and he and his company took the lead in an arrowhead formation, crying out a dwarvish battle cry. The trolls at the front of the orc army were cut down, and the dwarven army punched a hole through the orc army like a dagger. Suddenly, I felt something. A strange urge telling me to go find Thorin, Fili, and Kili right now. Hoping that I made the right choice, I jumped down from the wall. I ran away from the city, right towards where the fight broke out anew. But now, it looked like the dwarves had the upper hand. I attacked them from behind, silent and swift. It took about five minutes to reach Thorin and the others. I briefly saw him embrace his cousin. I barked, drawing their attention. I was surprised when Thorin gave me a relieved smile. I bounded over to them, and proceeded to watch their backs. And a good thing, too. There were several Orcs that might have overcome them had I not been there. I didn't listen much to their conversation, until I heard Dain say Azog's name in a rather shocked tone. I turned just to see Thorin mount a war ram.
"I'm gonna kill that piece of filth," he declared.
I barked in agreement. Just then, a commotion got my attention. Dwalin, Balin, Kili, and Fili approached us. They were driving a cart pulled by six rams. Following another strange urge, I barked and jumped up on the cart. Fili and Kili gave me a doubtful look, but didn't say anything. Thorin gave the command, and we were off. I briefly heard Dain wishing us luck from behind us. I gave a growl as we approached a battalion of Orcs. It was time to end this.
Well, I suppose this one was a decent length. The next chapter will definitely be longer. I only have the next chapter and the epilogue to write, and then I will be done with this story!! I've actually started another imagines book, but I'm not going to publish any of them until I finish all of my other books. I hope to finish this book before school starts in a couple of weeks.
