SEVENTEEN:

Tuesday, February 14th
7:30 PM

"Okay, kids, we're leaving," Hayley said.

I rolled my eyes, looking over at Klaus. He was on the floor with Hope playing with blocks and showing her a wooden toy knight from when he was a child. I washed it as much as you can to allow a baby to chew on it. "Did she call us kids?" I asked my boyfriend.

"She did. Someone's happy to go on a real date for once with her husband," Klaus smirked. "How lame."

"Hey!" Hayley whined, moving from the doorway into the room. "Be nice to me. I am exited."

"We are happy for you," I said, patting a spot on the bed where I sat with my homework sprawled out everywhere. Hayley picked up Hope before taking a sip. "Your dress is nice," I complimented her with a teasing smile.

"It's yours," she scoffed.

"Well, you have fun tonight. Don't stay out too late. And don't do anything Klaus and I wouldn't do."

"You two would do anything," she retorted, brows furrowed in confusion.

I laughed, blushing as well, "It was a joke."

"Anyways, what are you three going to do?"

"Binge watch a couple rom coms, we bought a new book for Hope, and then once she's asleep we're going to dance around the compound and then settle into a sexy bubble bath together."

"Started off cute and then turned right into usual Klaus and Dani stuff," Hayley chuckled in disbelief, shaking her head.

"We have champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, oh, and Dani ordered from that Mexican place I like," Klaus grinned.

I laughed lightly, glad he was excited. I started cleaning up all my paperwork and closing my textbooks. I was done for the most part, nothing that was due tomorrow so I could call it quits so I could begin my own date.

"Hayley?!" Jackson called out. Soon he was in our doorway and Hayley was standing up, handing Hope back to Klaus on the floor. "Ready to go?"

"You clean up well," I smirked at the alpha.

"Flattery gets you everywhere," he winked at me.

"Flirt with my woman or wink at her again and I'll poke your eyes out, and feed them to you," Klaus threatened. Still with a grin on his face as he dangled a toy in front of Hope's face.

"Uh, let's get going, then?" Jackson suggested, looking at Hayley.

I laughed then and hugged the girl before she left with her husband. "I would join you on the floor, but our bed is so much more comfortable. Get up here, please," I said.

Klaus didn't hesitate. He placed Hope on the bed and I grabbed hold of her. Then he placed all her toys on the bed as well. "You know, love, I do actually get jealous," he said, surprising me.

"Jealous of what?" I scoffed.

"You and Jackson."

"We're just friends."

"You don't need any male friends."

"I'll get rid of my male friends, if you get rid of your female friends."

"Like who?" He snorted. "I have no friends."

"Cami."

"She's my therapist."

I rolled my eyes, "you're full of shit. She's your friend. You care about her. Don't lie to me and say you don't."

"Fine, but I still don't like it," Klaus grumbled.
