EIGHT:

Monday, January 16th
11:50 AM

I eyed Klaus as he walked towards me with a rose in his hand. I was sitting at the bar with Jackson and Hayley. My boyfriend was soon behind me, arms reaching around me, over my shoulders and the half wilted rose brushing my lips and nose. "Hello, love," Klaus whispered in my ear huskily.

"Hi, handsome. Where have you been?" I asked him, turning my head to the side to face him while taking the rose away so it wasn't in my face. "And what's with the rose? There's people around, they'll start to think you're romantic."

Klaus scoffed, looking around. "It's a half dead rose, I got off an ugly bush edged inside the compound since we still can't get out!" He raised his voice, looking over his shoulder where I could see Kol rolling his eyes at his brother.

"Again, where have you been?"

"Around," he smirked deviously. I narrowed my eyes but still leaned forward to give him a swift peck on his lips. "Want to go upstairs to our bedroom?"

"No," I laughed.

"Why not?"

"Because everyone will hear us."

"Fine. Fine. But later, you're mine," he growled, reaching down to grip my thigh roughly. A pleasurable thrill filled my body as his possessive hold. Oh, fuck. He was such a tease.

"You two disgust me!" Hayley's booming voice interrupted us. I turned the other way to see her. She was sitting next to me, between Jackson and I.

"Sorry, our sex drive is out of control," I giggled, giving her a playful shove.

"We are very much not sorry," Klaus corrected. "Bloody hell, no. Never going to be sorry for that."

"Klaus," I hissed softly.

"Hey, Davina is here," a new voice came. We all turned to see Marcel coming up behind Klaus.

"Finally," I sighed relieved, turning back to the bar to grab my glass and finish it in one gulp.

"Slow down, love," Klaus chuckled. I rolled my eyes back at him and turned in my chair to get up. Klaus took my hand and we moved to the center of the room with Marcel to see Davina and Kol on opposite sides of the barriers. They held their hands up and were chanting away.

"When we get out of here, can we go eat?" I asked Klaus.

"Sure," he answered.

My brows raised as the two seeming jolted away from the barrier. Davina letting out a little yelp. Klaus dropped my hand and quickly rushed forward towards the two. "What just happened?" I heard Davina ask, looking down at her hands in utter confusion.

"I assume that means we're all free to go?" My boyfriend questioned, full of irritation.

Kol sighed, "No. The spell's locking us out."

"Vincent must be channeling something. A dark object, maybe," Davina guessed, shrugging.

The three of them shared a look and I Klaus moved to take a threatening step forward, but before he could make his threats I tugged and squeezed his hand I held, whispering, "Stay calm, please."

His eyes met mine and he gave a small defeated sigh, nodding at me. Then he looked at the two witches, "figure it out. Quickly or else."

Then he turned around, tugging me along with him. I rolled my eyes, but kept quiet. That was the nicest threat they were ever going to receive from him. My boyfriend dragged me to the kitchen where a few werewolves were gathered. They fell silent among us entering and stared at us. Then suddenly they all were picking up their drinks and leaving the room without a word.
