Emi was on her skateboard. She was wearing her toman uniform. They were going to greet the new president of the third division and she was running late.
"EH? where's cherry?" mikey raised his eyebrow.
"you know she likes to show fashionably late" smiley laughed.
As if on cue emi skated to a stop in front of the boys. "and i always look great" she smirked kicking up her skate board and doing a full turn. They haven't seen her much after she came out of juvie. She had cut her red hair shoulder length, and one of her eyebrows had a cut while the other had her piercing. She was for once wearing the right uniform, the jacket along with leggings, and the shoes.
"wow, you cut your hair!" takemichi looked at the red head.
Muto blushed looking at the petite red head. "you always do" he spoke up.
The red head blushed at his words. She was used to getting complements from the members of different divisions. But when the captains complemented her she would feel special since all they really care about fighting.
Her moment was cut short when mitsuya scuffed causing her to roll her eyes, then mikey put a hand on her head and ruffled it causing her to slap his hand away.
"It's time we formally welcome the new third divisions captain." mikey smiled. They headed to the shrine where the new captain would be introduced.
"THE NOMINATION FOR THE TOKYO MANJI GANG'S THIRD DIVISIONS CAPTAIN NOW BEGAN!" draken called out, everyone instantly began to talk. Emi sat on the step with a lollipop in her mouth staring at the group.
"QUIET!" emi called out making the men go stiff and shut up do to the fact they were scared of her despite being one of the smallest there as well as the only girl. Mitsuya however had a smirk on his face, he liked how demanding she could get as well as how male in the divisions won't stand up to her.
"Third divisions captain step forward" mikey called out. Everyone parted as they let two men pass a short one as well as a tall one. The short one walked to the steps and sat down next to emi, she turned to look at him before offering him a lollipop.
She was very picky as to who she gave her lollipops to especially her cherry ones.
Everyones eyes widen when he didn't even look at her and simply said 'no'.
"what's his problem?"
"he just declined, cherry's lollipop!"
"hey man! what's your problem"
Emi narrowed her eyes at him before scooting over rolling her eyes. She threw the lollipop to takemichi who looked confused. "it's cherry flavor. she rarely gives out lollipops, it means she trusts you to have her back and she will have yours. but when she gives out cherry, you are her protecter and she is yours." mitsuya spoke.
"LISTEN UP, MORONS! THE MAN SITTING BEHIND ME IS THE NEW THIRD DIVISIONS CAPTAIN, TETTA KISAKI!" the tall man yells. Takemichi begans to have flashbacks of what happened in the present. The guys started to chant, 'get out' to kisaki bit he looks unbothered.
"childish" emi mutters referring to the men chanting.
"SHUT UP!" draken yelled. Mikey begins to talk and when he is finished he leaves.
'what the hell is our boss thinking' emi and draken thought looking at mikey walk off. They then look at kisaki walk away with the tall man. before they looked at each other.
"i have a bad feeling about him" emi spoke handing draken a lollipop which he gladly accepted. "i mean he turned down my cherry flavored lollipop, the nerve" Once emi was finished talking her eyes widen as she watches takemichi punch kisaki square in the face.
"The hell's wrong with you!" draken called out. "who the hell do you think you are takemitchy! you're not even in toman! are you trying to ruin our ceremony?!"
Emi's eyes were widen in shock but in her head she was smirking hard. She felt like a proud older sister that he through a good swing. "what the hell is your problem, takemitchy" mitsuya spoke walking up the steps.
"you trying to ruin mikeys reputation, asshole?" smiley smiled. Emi held up her hand stopping the captains from doing anything. "eh?"
Emi looked at the boy narrowing her eyes, "you better have a good ass reason as to why you just hit a captain, if you don't make sure you have the ambulance of speed dial" she spoke up.
"you got it all wrong guys, it's just.." takemichi started to panic. "it's just"
"now what's going on" baji walked up, "things just got real interesting"
"ain't you on house arrest?" muto raised an eyebrow. They watched as baji punched takemichi and kept hitting him till mitsuya stopped him.
"cut it out baji" mitsuya grabbed his arm.
"lemme go, mitsuya" baji spoke, "i'll kill you"
"you wanna go bastard?" mitsuya glared. Emi sighed.
"MIKEY!" baji yelled out.
"why are you even here? baji? you caused infighting in the gang... and have been banned from our gatherings"
"i just punched another shitty brat." baji spoke. "since i ruined your precious gathering, are you gonna throw me out out this time?"
"baji"
"i'm leaving to join valhalla" baji spoke. "you don't need a trouble maker like me around right mikey?"
"BAJI!"
Baji turned to walk away. "i quit. from now on, first divisions captain keisuke baji will be toman's enemy" He didn't get far before emi was in front of him.
Her face held anger and betrayal, She was beyond angry, creating a gang was his idea. He was the first divisions captain and he turned his back on everyone. She wasn't gonna accept that.
She glared at the long haired boy in front of her before her face softened. "baji" she placed a hand on his face startling everyone by the harsh sound that came after. Her face held no emotions, she was close to baji they went to the same school for goodness sakes.
Baji's eyes were trained on the ground as his face was stinging. He knew he hurt her, But he was doing it for the sake of toman. "cherry"
"don't call me that." emi spat. "you're an asshole, turning your back on family. you baji, disgust me. From now on, toman will be your worst enemy. we will be the reason you won't sleep at night. Leave here and never put that uniform on and never return back" she said before brushing past him back to everyone on the steps.
"i'm sorry emi" baji whisperes to himself walking down the stairs.
Emi took a deep breath, she closed her eyes and all the memories of them two together getting in trouble flashed like a movie before someone put they hand on her shoulder. She opened her eyes to look and see mitsuya.
