IN THE PRESENT

(i know this isn't part of the story but it makes up for the depression in the last chapter)

"did you eat all your food?" emi asked as she was in the kitchen.

"yup!"

"we'll then happy birthday" emi walked out with a cake. At the table also sat luna, mana and nari. "make a wish"

The small red head blew out the candles and grinned brightly as his lavender eyes met his moms hazel ones."how does it feel to be 5 keisaki?" nari asked her nephew,

"great" keisaki's smile turned into a frown as he played with his thumbs.

"what's wrong, little man?" nari asked sliding him closer to her.

"i miss, daddy" he said.

Emi felt her heart break. Mitsuya had disappeared a few months ago and chifuyu rushed them to a nice house basically in the middle of nowhere out of tokyo. No matter how much keisaki was a mamas boy he truly loved his father and uncles. Nari was also with us because akkun disappeared as well but a bad timing because nari was pregnant.

"i'm sure daddy will come back. but he did get you a present" emi smiled as she ran in her room opening the door letting a puppy come out.

"whoa!" keisaki hugged the puppy, It was a golden retriever. Pah-chin bought him and said to give him to keisaki as a birthday present from mitsuya.

"what are you going to name him?" luna asked her nephew.

"auntie mana what was daddies first name again?"

"takashi"

"well, his name is taka." keisuke hugged him. "welcome to the family, taka"

Emi smiled as her son played with his new dog. Taka will get big so then he could protect him, Just as they were playing, emi heard a car outside. Nobody knew where they lived. "kei, remember what mommy told you about the hiding spot?" keisaki nodded. "go and take your aunties okay"

Keisaki nodded grabbing luna and mana and running with taka right behind them. "who is it?" nari spoke.

Emi pulled down a family painting and moved the false wall reveling a bunch of weapons. She took out a shot gun before closing the wall. "i don't know but go hide now" she demanded walking to the front.

Nobody but chifuyu knew of their location and this wasn't chifuyu's car. She had her own division that was watching over her house so there were five men on the roof with guns. Emi readied her shot gun aiming at the driver. But the car stopped and the driver stuck out his hands. "it's me cherry." he spoke.

"kozatora" she lowered her gun as he parked the car getting out. "you damn idiot, i almost blew your head off. and where's chifuyu?"she said then notice someone getting out the passenger side. "Takemitchy?"

"cherry" takemichi spoke walking over once he was close, emi slapped him before turning away walking back in her house. "what?"

"you deserve it" she said as she put the gun away. " you guys can come out" she called out.

"uncle Takemitchy!!" keisaki yelled running to his uncle who wore a confused face. "look, daddy got me a puppy for my birthday today!"

"ahem" emi cleared her throat and keisaki looked and noticed kazutora. "i don't think you remember your uncle kazu"

"hi! uncle kazu!" keisaki hugged his leg.

"why don't you take auntie luna and mana to help you set up taka's stuff in your room" emi spoke and he nodded running off with his aunties. "what are you doing here, kazu? and why did you bring him?"

'Cherry has a son!' takemichi thinks. "is mitsuya is the father?"

"of course his the father. why are you acting dumb takemitchy? his is the only man i married!" she snapped at him. Honestly, emi and takemitchy left off on bad terms because he was being an asshole.

"i'm sorry but i don't quite remember why your mad at me" takemichi rubbed his head.

"your an asshole, takemitchy that's why. you let kisaki play you like a damn puppet." you grab his shirt.

"i'm sorry" he apologizes and emi let's him go. She can't be mad at him for following kisaki's orders. "where's chifuyu?"

"he's dead... kisaki killed him along with pah-chin and pey-yan" kazutora speaks. Emi gasps before she balled up her fist. "he's gotten rid of all the founding members of toman. mikey, draken, mitsuya, pah-chin, baji, and me"

"may i ask but your also a founding member why can't you take over?" takemitchi ask.

"i would if i could. when mikey disappeared and draken got death row i tried but then i found out about kisaki's plans and later got pregnant. not wanting to risk keisaki's safety i stopped"

"why not now?'

"are you even hearing yourself?" emi snapped at him throwing a cushion. "he got rid of mikey, draken, pah-chin and my husband. i have a son to take care off. i'm lucky i even survived him. When takashi disappeared i confronted kisaki, got held at gun point and chocked out."

'kisaki, is a monster!' takemichi thinks to himself.

"keisaki, lost a lot of family already takemitchy. he lost his godfathers, his uncles, grandparents, and father. you and kazutora are his last uncles left. Most of the male figures in his life were removed from our life by kisaki. so please be safe." emi's face softens as she looks at the picture of keisaki with his uncles and godfathers.

"keisaki? it sounds familiar?" takemichi speaks

"yea, he is named after baji. keisuke = keisaki... since he will never be able to met him i gave him a similar name" emi smiles.

"i promise i will find mitsuya and mikey and get kisaki out of toman." takemichi salutes with tears in his eyes. 'she's been on her own. nobody but nari to comfort her. she lost everyone, i'll make it up to her'

Emi laughed. "that's a pretty big promise crybaby" she said. "now go before someone finds my house" she kicks them out and once they are gone she looks at the sky.

"be safe takemitchy" she says before going in the house
