Geek God and Xander Zee [ZaintSee]

Chapter 4

I did not log in to the fan site again, it's been a few days, I did not go online to check out Pruk Panich's pictures as well, I completely don't know what is happening in the world outside right now. Everything I do reminds me of Ctrl+Z, I sometimes wonder why they chose that to be their username. I really wanna ask them but I still feel awkward and shy to talk to them again. These few days I completely focused on the other aspects of the game. I created the basic prototype, but I know I need more money and resources to create the whole game. As much as I am good at what I do, I know that I am not great at coding, I know that I need more people to help me with that. I know that I don't like the idea of interacting with people too much, but Strike 101 (that's the name of the game I came up with, for now,)  is too good to not be out there, and I just can't let my ego and awkwardness come in the way of my one true purpose in life.

I even stayed away from designing more of Xander Zee the striker. Looking at me again brings back memories of Ctrl+Z. But I know that I need to talk to them soon, but before that, I really need to make a call.

I called Mister Stiller, the CEO of Nile technology, the last client I worked for. After quite some research on the company, I decided to seek their help for making Strike 101 a possibility.

"Hello" I speak

"Yes, this is Nala, Mr. Stiller's secretary, how can I help you?"

"Hello yes, can I speak to Mr. Stiller?"

"I'm afraid you cannot Sir, Mr. Stiller is currently in an important meeting right now, you can give me your message I will ask him to call back"

"Oh... Okay then just tell him Geek God called"

"Wait? Are you Geek God?"

"Erm, yes"

"Oh my... I'm so sorry sir, I did not know who I was talking to, hold on just a second I will call Mr. Stiller"

"I thought he was busy"

"I think the meeting can wait, Mr. Stiller has a set of priorities and one among those is recruiting you, just hold a second sir, Sir... You have an important call"

"Excuse me gentleman" I hear mister Stiller's voice, "what is that important that you have to interrupt the meeting, please don't tell me it is my girlfriend"

"Sir, Geek God is online"

"What? Hello?"

"Yes, hello, Geek God here"

"Woah... The Geek God himself called me, I... Umm yes sir, tell me the reason for your call"

"I have a proposal" and just like that I explained about the game I created and the characters, I trusted him completely and mailed the designs of the other characters to him, except Xander Zee. He was completely interested in my idea and agreed to work on it. I made sure that he keeps me in charge of the game as it is my idea. He told me that he will only put people at work and start the process only after I sign a contract. He even said that this call was only between the both of us and if I decide to bail out he will forget about it. He gave me complete autonomy and was willing to give me complete authority as well. But for this, I had to meet with, which means I had to go out of my house, which was giving me anxiety, but my dream was more important. I agreed to meet with him, but he said that he was dealing with something important in the states at the moment. I told him the city I live in and he fixed an appointment in a week. That gives me time to do some last-minute changes to the phase one prototype.

I was so happy after the call, I wanted to celebrate this and I wanted to share this with someone, and that someone was Ctrl+Z. I don't know how I am gonna go and shamelessly apologize to them for ghosting. But I miss Ctrl+Z a lot, and I have to share my excitement with someone so I'm just gonna text them anyway.
