3rd POV

"Wow mom, I never thought I would see you snap like that." Gilthunder says while looking over at his mom in amusement.

"Well Gilthunder, there is something you must understand. Just because you aren't suffering doesn't mean there aren't people out there suffering. With us having the abilities to put a stop to that suffering that needs to be our number one concern." Serena says while giving Gilthunder a small smile.

"It's been a long time since I have heard you scold anyone. I believe the last time I heard it was when Zeldris and I kept fighting about who was going to sit by you at the banquet we had to celebrate your birthday." Meliodas says with a fond smile on his face while he looks out towards the distance.

Serena gives him a small smile but says "Enough of that. Howzer and Gilthunder get out there and start training. We will watch and give you guys pointers."

The two of them nod their heads and they start the process of training. As the continue to train they can see Gilthunder is starting to get frustrated, and they also see that Howzer is keeping himself calm and collected.

"Gilthunder, calm yourself." Meliodas speaks up.

Gilthunder looks towards Meliodas briefly but that is the only acknowledgment he gives. The two of them continue their training and Gilthunder just continues to grow frustrated. The others from the group walks out and stand behind Meliodas and Serena.

"Is Gil going to be okay?" Margaret asks from behind the two.

"He will be fine. He is our son. He is strong." Meliodas says looking towards Serena.

Before anyone can respond Howzer throws Gilthunder back, and he lands on the ground with a thud. For a moment he just sits there while the leaves from the trees that surround them rustle in the wind.

As he is getting up Serena speaks up "Gilthunder. Why are you stopping yourself from going further? What is bothering you?"

"Nothing mother." Gilthunder says in a tone that shows he is frustrated.

"Gilthunder, the night you were born there was a thunderstorm in the demon realm which is unheard of. The thunder, and the lightning picked you. You are the grandson of the god of thunder and lightning. You are the grandson of the demon king. You are the son of the queen of sirens, and the prince of the demons. You have greatness flowing through your veins. You are stopping yourself from going further. You do not have to share what is bothering you so much, but you need to deal with it mentally before you can go further in training. If you are not being strong in all aspects then you will only bring harm to yourself and those that you love. Darling, whatever it is you will always have someone there to catch you. You are not alone. Meliodas, Zaratras, Margret, Howzer, myself, and everyone else is here. Take a break for the day and get your thoughts together. Take a breather, go do what you need to relax yourself." Serena responds shocking everyone once again.

"I need to go visit my father." Gilthunder says looking down at the ground.

"Of course darling. Do you need someone with you or would you like to go alone?" Serena asks.

"I need to go by myself. I'm sorry mom." Gilthunder says before rushing away.

"You are just going to let him walk away like that?" Ban asks looking down at Serena.

"I am his mother not his puppet master. His whole world was turned upside down. He was going to need to do this eventually." Serena says with a small smile.

"What do you mean?" Elaine asks in curiosity.

"He grew up knowing Zaratras as his father, and hoping he could someday be the man he knew Meliodas as. He wanted to make Zaratras proud along with Meliodas. He was under the impression that I was dead. Just a day ago he found out all of what he knew to be untrue. He is getting thrusted into the life of royalty in the blink of an eye, and he is having a hard time adjusting. As his loved ones we need to give him the time and space he needs to adjust. We cannot just expect him to be okay all of a sudden." Serena says looking off in the direction Gil walked off to.
