The Captains Wife

Chapter 12

Elizabeth POV 

"Elizabeth would you like to have some girl time and catch up?" Diane asks me with a smile on her face. 

I smile back at her and I nod my head. "I would love that. Sir Meliodas, Diane and I are leaving for awhile." I speak looking towards the love of my life, but he doesn't respond. He stands there staring at where Serena was standing. Why can't he just get over it?

I roll my eyes and Diane and I leave the room without another word. "What in the world is going on?" Diane asks me clearly sensing the tension. 

I sigh and start to speak "Well, obviously Meliodas and I have been getting closer but then Serena shows up and it threw our whole relationship into a turmoil. I thought it would be the end for us, but Meliodas and I slept together sexually last night, and it was perfect. Serena wasn't here so I had all his attention, but that again has changed. I don't know what to do, but I do know that I am furious. What did I do to deserve this? Why can't he just commit to me?" Tears fill my eyes as I speak and my voice cracks a little. 

"Well Elizabeth, I want to support you, but you need to understand him. What you are doing is not fair to captain at all. You are only making this harder for him. Serena went through hell and he clearly feels guilty for that. She was the love of his life and they were tragically ripped from each other. That is something you don't heal from. I think you are being completely selfish. If it were me and King in your position, yeah I would be hurt and sad but I would support whatever he wanted, even if it was the other woman. If you truly loved him you would let him make his own decisions and not trying to push yourself onto him, just as Serena has been doing." Diane says shocking me. Once again, why is Serena the one someone is defending?

"Are you serious? You are being an awful friend." I say while slightly glaring at her. 

"I am being an amazing friend, especially to captain. I think this girls day isn't going to work out." She says before storming back to the room where we left everyone behind. 

I sigh as I look out the window. As I am standing there I feel pressure build up behind my eyes. It is painful, and it is getting worse. I gasp in pain as I fall to my knees. Before I can process what is happening I let out a scream. 

Serena's POV 

Before I can get into bed I hear a scream. I rush out of the room I was given and rush through the halls. As I turn a corner I freeze seeing Elizabeth on her knees gasping in pain. 

"Help!" I scream running towards her. When I reach her I fall to me knees and I try talking to her. 

She looks up at me, but her eyes are not the same blue I am used to. They are the eyes of the goddess race, she looks at me but it is as if she is looking through me. "Please! Where is Meliodas! We need to hurry and help Drole and Gloxinia!" She says in a panic. 

I am confused by this, but I nod my head and I say "Do not fret Elizabeth. Everything is okay, they have help, please tell me what is going on?" I say as I notice rushing feet behind us. 

"Stigma. Stigma needs our help please you have to help us!" Elizabeth says with the same far away look in her eyes. 

Before I can respond she blacks out and I immediately catch her. I put my finger to the side of her neck waiting for a heart beat which I find pretty quickly. 

"Rena what happened?!" Meliodas says from behind me but I ignore him and start humming a healing melody. 

As I hum I feel her body starting to relax and I continue to hum as I run my fingers through her long silver hair just trying to bring some sort of comfort to her.
