Chapter 13

Meliodas POV 

"What is there that we need to talk about? What is there that you can possibly say?" Zeldris asks while glaring at Serena. 

"Why did you betray us? Why did you betray me? You pulled apart my mate from me. Why did you do that?" I ask looking at Zeldris with betrayal and hurt in my eyes. 

"Because love is a weakness." Zeldris says shrugging his shoulders. 

I hear Serena scoff from next to me and she says "Bull shit! You and I both know that the statement that just came out of your mouth is complete and utter bullshit!" I am shocked but I also feel proud. 

I look at Serena and I smile and I kiss her cheek softly. I walk towards Zeldris I see the rest of the Ten commandments tense up but I lean down and whisper in his ear "You and I both know why you actually did it. Help us and I will return Gilda to you." 

He looks at me shocked but nods his head. "Fine. I did it because father threatened that he would murder us all of your relationship continued. I didn't know the full extent of the plan, I didn't know that he wanted to do this to you until it was to late." Zeldris speaks in an honest voice. 

"Zeldris listen, what happened all those years ago happened because your father manipulated you guys. We need to work together, this war is pointless. This hate and this misery has no point. He just wanted everyone to be miserable because if you are guys are happy then you guys are at your fullest and if you are at your fullest then there is a bigger chance for you guys to overthrow him. You guys were done so wrong, being trapped in that goddess amber for 3000 years, it is something I would never wish onto my worst enemy. I just want all of us to be free. All of you guys mean something to me. All of you guys deserve to live a free life of happiness without the Demon King controlling you. Please help us." Serena says as I watch tears build up into her beautiful eyes. 

"Why should we even listen to you?" Derieri asks while slightly glaring at the two of us. 

"Because I was pregnant! Not only were us as mates ripped from each other, but so was our family! I had to raise my son in that prison and then send him off without either of his parents! You robbed my son of his childhood. You robbed Meliodas from having a father and son bond with our son! You robbed me from enjoying my son growing up beside my mate! You owe us! If you disagree then I will rain despair and pain down on you for the rest of your lives until you can't handle it and are forced into suicide! Do not fuck around with me right now!" Serena screams at them with her pain evident in her voice and face. Tears are now streaming down her face as the feelings she has been hiding is now on her face for everyone to see. 

I ignore the shocked looks on the Ten Commandments' faces and I pull Serena tightly into my chest softly running my fingers through her long pink hair. "Shh Serena, the time that was robbed from us is something we will never get back, but I promise you that we will all live a life together in peace as a family." I speak softly as I hold her tightly to my chest. 

I look behind me to see some of the commandments' eyes filled with tears. Some are looking on in disbelief, and I can see the guilt and the pain in Zeldris' eyes. "I-I had no idea." Zeldris says quietly. 

Serena stands up wiping the tears from her eyes as she smiles softly. "Just please help us." She speaks in such a soft tone that it is almost hard to hear. 

"Monspeet and I will help in anyway that we can." Derieri says while walking towards us with Monspeet by her side. 

Gloxinia steps up and he bows down in front of Serena with tears running down his face with Drole following his lead. "From the bottom of our hearts we are so sorry. We will do everything that can to help as well."
