Going Back

There was so much commotion behind me. "Who is coming,"/"Who are they,"/"Are they bad or good?" So many questions were being thrown at us, but I couldn't answer them just yet. I was frozen in place staring at Ralph. Shit! Of course they have to ruin everything! Okay. Okay I can do this. This is it, we have to do it now.

Questions were still being thrown at me, someone shook me to break me out of my thinking. "My siblings." I turned around and looked at all of them. "That's who's coming. We need to do it now."

Everyone dispersed. Pepper and Morgan went somewhere safe. Bruce went to start the machine. Scott and Hope went to get the Pym Particles. Thor and Clint went to get the suits. The rest of the Avengers' except for Strange went to keep guard outside.

"Let me come with you," Rafael begged.

"I'm getting major deja vu right now," We chuckled. "But you can't. If our siblings are actually on their way, the Avengers' are gonna need all the help they can get."

"I think they can manage without us." I gave him a knowing look. "Okay fine, but you need to be safe. The Infinity Stones are back in play here, you need to be careful."

"I will. Be safe here too. If they come, give them hell."

I started to walk away, but I felt Rafael grab my arm. "I love you."

"I love you too bro." We hugged before Rafael went to follow the rest of the Avengers' outside.

Strange approached me, "You know what you need to do right?"

"Yes."

"You are only saving Tony, don't change anything else. The only thing that is acceptable is to try and stop me from telling Tony to do it."

I took a deep breath, getting ready to go. Oh wait. "Wait, Strange, I have a question." he gave me a small nod to continue. "My past self, my 2023 self goes to the battle after Tony snapped. If for some reason the stones are used and I show up, what should I do?"

"Tell yourself to leave but don't make it obvious."

"Wait, that's it? I thought I wasn't supposed to talk to my past self?"

"Back to the future is a bunch of bullshit." I laughed at his comment. "Good luck," he said.

"Thank you."

"Alright, Y/N you might be a little disoriented at first, but you should quickly adapt to it," Bruce told me.

"How long will I have?"

"However long you need, so whenever you want to come home."

Scott and Hope came back with the suits and the particles. I changed into my suit and then put the other suit on top of it. They miniaturize the suit for Tony so I can put it in my pocket. "Do you know how to work these?" Hope asked me when I came back. I shook my head no. "Alright on your wrist there's a small tablet that you need to enter the date and location of where you are going." Hope punched in the date and location for me. She led me up to the platform and she continued, "When you're ready you press this button." She pointed to a red button on the screen. "And the suit does the rest for you."

"Okay, simple enough."

"It really is."

"Are you ready?" Bruce asked behind Hope.

I took a deep breath, "Ready." I clicked the button and I was off. I could feel myself shrinking; it felt weird but it didn't hurt. I was bombarded with so many colors. It was overwhelming but extremely breathtaking. I had about thirty seconds before I would arrive, so I took the chance to marvel at what I was seeing, but it all went away too soon.

Before I knew it I was in 2023. I took a couple wobbly steps because I did feel dizzy but I was quick to recover. I finally took in my surroundings, rubble everywhere, there were a few fires here and there, and in front of me were the orange rings I saw the day I met Strange. Since nothing was coming in and out of them, I figured I was behind where I needed to be. I quickly ran to the other side of the "rings" and was taken aback by what I'm seeing. All of the dusted heroes were back. And there he was: Iron Man. Right next to Captain America and Thor.

I stared at him for a little too long realizing that I probably look creepy. I was going to stand next to a group of people until I got scared by a loud commotion coming from my left. A ginormous Ant-Man shot up out of rubble with Rhodey, Bruce, and who I can only assume is Rocket Raccoon. After that whole fiasco I finally walked over to the others.

Everyone was screaming and Wakandans were chanting. It was heartwarming. I looked in front of me and there was Thanos and his huge ass army. Um I hope I can actually fight these things. I was brought out of my thoughts when Captain America yelled, "Avengers!" I looked to my left again just in time to see Thor's hammer fly into Captain America's hands. Then he said something else but I couldn't hear him. Next thing I know everyone is screaming and running.

I decided to join the people in the sky. I flew higher than everyone, just so I can get a better view of the battlefield. There were so many people and double, maybe even triple the amount of Thanos' army. While I'm watching I feel this weight in my chest. I've only ever experienced this when the stones were used-wait. The stones must be nearby. I'm still in the air searching for the stones but I don't see them anywhere. I look to Thanos making sure that he doesn't have the stones, and he doesn't. Which made me relieved and decided I'm not going to worry about the stones until I need to.

Now it's time for me to actually join the battle; I've been watching for too long. The second I land, four dog-like creatures charge to attack me. Oh they have no idea who they are messing with. I use my telekinesis to throw them across the battlefield. I laugh to myself until a person looking at me weirdly catches my attention. I just shoot them an awkward smile and run towards more of the aliens.

I know that Strange told me to stay hidden, don't attract attention but fighting these aliens is fun. I was liquefying them, throwing them across the battlefield, hitting them with matter and energy beams. I may be kicking ass but the enemy is getting some good hits in. I had a busted lip, a cut on my arm and leg, and definitely a bruised rib or two, but nothing too serious.

I hear a whoosh sound next to me and look to see Doctor Strange trying to control a giant water sprout. I figured this would be the perfect time to try and convince him not to encourage Tony to not snap his fingers. "Um D-doctor Strange, I need you to do me a favor," I stuttered.

"I'm a little busy here," he snapped at me.

"I see that, but I need you to not tell Tony to snap his fingers." I got straight to the point; no time to waste.

He looks over at me and furrows his eyebrows, "How do you know about that?"

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you. I just need you to trust me. Can you do that?"

"Can I do that," he repeated. "No, I can't do that. Him snapping his fingers is the only way all of this shit ends. So no, I will not do that."

"But I can stop all of this, that's why I'm here."

"How can I know that I can trust you huh?" I heard a growl from behind me and I inferred that one of those creatures was coming at us. All while keeping eye contact with Strange, I shot a purple energy beam at it and it died.

Strange had a shocked look on his face. "I just need you to trust me please," I begged.

"I'll think about it," he sneered, turning his attention back to the water sprout.

"Future you was right, you are stubborn," I whispered to myself flying back into battle.
