Now it's the present day, July, 2028. Five years since I first stepped foot on Earth and I've been here ever since. I fell in love with this place, even with all the dumb people that roam it. Unfortunately it's just me here. Ralph decided to go back to my siblings because he missed them. I miss them too but I like having this freedom. I'm still an eighteen year old, if you were wondering. Technically I am twenty-eight but I don't look like it, because I age extremely slowly. Slower than Thor.
I got a small apartment in the city. I may...have mind controlled...the landlord to let me stay here for... free. In my defense I don't have any money so what was I supposed to do? I did get a job though after that because I did feel bad. I got a job at a local coffee shop after enjoying a nice day there once. And that's exactly where I'm heading now, to work. Something weird happens though the smallest little hole surrounded by orange sparks appears in front of me. After ten seconds a small white piece of paper falls out and lands just in front of my feet.
"What the hell is...177A Bleecker Street," I found myself talking to absolutely no one. "Well that's just awesome."
I found a cab and told him the destination on the paper. It didn't take long to get there, only about a fifteen minute drive. This time I actually didn't mind control someone to give me free stuff. After paying the driver I walked up to the door and knocked. I got no answer.
I knocked again. "Hello is anyone here, I was given a piece of paper with this address on it. Helloooooo! Can you please answer, I'm gonna be late to work," I shouted, maybe a little too loud.
After that, I got teleported inside. I looked around confused and a little nauseated. To be honest I'm a little concerned. Then I heard a voice.
"Y/N Infinity, welcome to the Sanctum," a random man said.
"Uh h-hi," I said. You could easily hear the concern in my voice.
"I need to talk to you about the Infinity Stones."
"O-Okay, I'll talk if you tell me who you are." I wasn't actually going to say anything until I knew I could trust them.
"Doctor Strange." Realization hit me. I knew that name; I've heard about him. He is the Sorcerer Supreme. He is the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. I see Strange flying down in front of me. He touches the ground and I go up to him and shake his hand.
I approached him wide-eyed, "It's an honor, I've heard much about you."
"Thanks, always nice to meet a fan, anyway can we get back to the topic at hand, the-"
"Infinity Stones," I cut him off. I've never told anyone about my powers or my connection with the stones, hell I don't even have friends. So how did he know?
Unbeknownst to Strange and I we had a little eavesdropper outside listening to our conversation. You may know him, quite famous, well actually no one knows his true identity. Peter Parker. There was a small robbery close to the sanctum and when I had arrived, he saw me 'teleport' inside and it caused his spidey senses to tingle; that caught his attention and caused him to listen to our conversation.
"There's nothing to really talk about, they were destroyed ten years ago," I told him.
"Yet you possess their powers," I tried really hard not to act surprised but I couldn't help but be shocked about how he knew this. He noticed my expression and continued to speak. "I took an oath to protect the Time Stone, even wore it around my neck. You don't think I can't sense it's powers?"
I was starting to become extremely flustered. Why am I here? What is the point of this meeting? Am I in danger? My siblings are going to kill me!
"Is-is there a point to this meeting?" I questioned him with attitude, so he could tell I'm becoming impatient.
"I only want to know one thing...Where were you, five years ago?" Strange asked. Here was the question I feared the most. I was ashamed whenever someone brought up the battle five years ago. It's all I ever heard at work. "Iron Man's a hero, Black Widow's such a badass and I wish they were still alive." Every time the subject was brought up I would excuse myself because I didn't want to feel more guilty then I already do. What exactly was I doing when Earth needed me, well I was traveling and enjoying life.
I didn't realize I'd totally zoned out until Strange snapped his fingers in front of me and brought me back to reality. "Are-are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah-ye-yeah sorry about that. Why do you want to know?"
"I have a feeling you could have greatly affected that battle. You could have changed the events of that day." Strange stated. Yet there I felt something other than guilt, I felt angry.
After hearing this, Peter went pale. I was the answer to his problem. I was gonna make his dream come true or so he hoped I would. The past five years have not been easy for Peter; he lost his mentor, scratch that he was more than that to him, he was like his father. He had to continue to fight without his mentor and some days he felt lost, but he'd do anything to get him back.
"Are you putting the blame on me!" I spat.
"I'm not saying that, but how can you have these powers and not do anything?" He questioned. I was over this. How could he blame me for their deaths? I understand I could have stopped it but I wasn't even on Earth. I was over this conversation.
"I don't need to explain myself to y-"
"Yes you do because I just want to protect you," He cut me off.
"Well you have a really nice way of showing it."
"Look, I'm not trying to make you mad, but I'm serious when I say I want to protect you."
"Why would you want to protect me?" I asked.
"Because you are a very powerful person, and we may need you in the future."
"How do you know you can trust me?"
"I don't actually know if I can, but I have a feeling I should."
"I appreciate that, and I will explain everything to you soon, but now I have to go to work," I said. Even though he kind of made up for what he said, I was in no mood to continue this conversation.
"Understood, but I will be waiting here." With that I left. I lied I wasn't going to work, I was actually planning on going home. I was angry and I needed to relax. While walking I felt like I was being followed but every time I would turn around there was no one there. After five minutes of doing this I had enough, I opened my mind so I could read whoever was following me.
'Oh God, what if they see me, what if they see me.' It was the conscience of a young male adult. 'Come on Peter, you can do this, it's only a simple favor.' Did he need a favor from me? 'Why are you so scared, I mean come on your Spiderman.' That caught my attention; Spiderman. He's another one I've heard about, but now I know his name.
Now it was time to see if he was following me or someone else. Right by my apartment building there's an abandoned warehouse, so I went there instead of my apartment. I was still reading Peter's thoughts just to make sure I wasn't losing him.
I finally arrived in the middle of the warehouse, Peter was still hot on my tail and now I knew for certain that I was the one he was following. It was time that I addressed him, "Peter you can come out."
'What-what the fu-' he said in his mind.
"I don't think you want to finish that sentence," I sniggered.
'Can you hear my-'
"Thoughts? Yes I can," I said.
A couple of seconds later Peter came down on a web a few feet away from me. "There's no reason to be scared of me, I'm not going to hurt you."
"Mr. Strange said you were very po-powerful, and I don't kn-know you... st-stranger danger and all," he stuttered.
"I'm guessing you heard our conversation," He nodded his head. "Well I can assure you I have no intention of hurting you. Now why on earth have you been following me?"
"I need a favor," he replied.
