CHAPTER 15

It took two weeks to get everything under wraps. The business talk went well and is about to proceed to phase two. Jin and his dad are now back in Korea. He's given a two-day break and he decided to see Moonbyul in the company.

"Welcome home Jin. I heard from your dad about the positive partnership. Congratulations!"

"I was only there to observe but I did some research on how this partnership will be beneficial to us and how can we maximize our gains from it."

"Why don't you join the group that will be sent there to study the partnership?"

"I don't know. Dad didn't talk to me about it yet. Plus I maybe gone for a month if that will happen."

"We can apply for a flexible schedule to the university if that's what you're worried about."

"Auntie. I'm aware that you already know what I feel for Byulie."

"Don't let your feelings hinder you from realizing your potential. We all know how complicated our situation is. I trust the two of you to have a better judgment in the future. I'm not as stern as your dad with what's happening but I don't want you to focus on your feelings instead of the things that you should be prioritizing now.

You're both doing well. You have a bigger role to fill in the future. That's where you should be pouring all your energy for now. But I won't ask you to stay away from my daughter. I believe that you two are rational. Don't let my judgment of you fail me. And you’re important to me too. I don’t want any of you getting hurt. I may not be the mom that you needed but I'll do everything to protect your interests as well."

"Thank you, Auntie."

"Now go see Byul. She may need a hand in her tasks."

"Ms. Moon, I told you I'll personally bring the files that you wanted after I'm finish with it."

The response she's waiting from her mom didn't come. Instead, a dazzling young man is looking at her.

"Have I mentioned that I like you even more when you're serious with your work? The power you hold over my heart Miss Moon Byul-yi. It's dangerous."

"And what did I deserve to be graced with the presence of the future CEO Kim?"

Standing up from her seat, she approached him. She lunges herself to him. She’s surprised to see him today but more than delighted to finally have his arms wrapped around her. All the exhaustion she felt gone in an instant.

"You're being paid to work why are you getting flirty with me? You need to behave. Your mom gave me the permission to see you."

"You're no fun. It's been so long since we are this carefree."

Seeing her cute little pout,
"I'm glad to have you in my life."

"I'm amazed by your mood swings. One minute you’re strict and firm, now you're such a sweet-heart."

He suddenly turned glum.

"What if I'll be gone for a month?"

"Why?"

"You know about the project that I'm talking about right?"

"The one that you're enthusiastic about?"

"Yes. Though dad hasn't mentioned about my participation to its second phase yet, it's possible that I'll be joining the researchers. It'll be for a month before deciding who's going to be in the team when the plans and procedures have been finalized."
