Introduction

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!
Severus Snape was NOT born in the marauders' era in this fanfic. He begins teaching at Hogwarts the year before Athena begins in 1988 and is 20 years old at that time. He is however the same dark and sinister person he is when he was bullied by the marauders. This also means he never met Lily Evans. He is more dedicated to Lord Voldemort and pretends to spy on him for Dumbledore. He is also a Pureblood so goes by the name The Pure-Blood Prince. (Ik it doesn't have the nice ring to it but then it fits with the whole idea of blood supremacy and whatnot)

Also, unless I state otherwise at the beginning or during chapters, the story will be in third person in Athena's point of view.

You don't have to read the bits after this if you don't want though I would advise it as it's a look into Athena's background and it would give you a better understanding of the story in my opinion. But it's entirely up to you :) If you want to, skip ahead until the first chapter where the story begins and just come back to here if you get confused at any point.

About Athena:
Athena Janus Malfoy (or AJ for short) is 17 years of age. She has jet black, curly hair and emerald green eyes which are covered by long and thick natural lashes, all of which she gets from the Black family genes in her. She has the signature pale skin of a Malfoy though, however it is dusted with freckles. She always sports a daredevil type look with slits in her eyebrows and a ring in the right one too, she also has a nose ring on her right nostril and she has studs going all the way up both ears. She is skinny though muscular with amazing posture and her head held high as taught by her parents. Her clothing when she doesn't wear her school robes keeps to her house colours as she doesn't wear anything other than black, green, grey or white. She sports a very gothic though formal look, which doesn't even seem possible for anyone other than herself to pull of. As long as she keeps formal in public, honouring the family name, her parents don't care what she says or does or wears which is different for poor Draco.

Family:
Athena is entering her 6th year at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She is a Slytherin Prefect and is a little over 2 years older than her younger brother Draco Lucius Malfoy. She is the green apple (heh, get it?) of her father's eye, though he doesn't look at Draco with the same respect and love, so she feels sorry for the boy and becomes quite close to him as they grow up together. Their mother loves them both the same as any mother would, but still seems to be closer to AJ with their classic mother-daughter bond. She has always wanted to become a death eater and wants to follow in her father's footsteps. Although Narcissa is not too keen on the idea of putting her only daughter in too much danger, Lucius wants her to honour the Malfoy name as he doesn't believe his only son could do it. Athena remembers some memories from when she was little of her Aunty Bellatrix whom she looked up to dearly, though she has been locked away since she was almost 4.

Skills:
Athena had always found magic easy, even from a young age. She often spoke to her pet snake, was able to chase snitches on a broom in the manor's huge gardens by the age of 8, ended up going through the extreamly long procedure of turning herself into an animagus by the age of 13. She was also able to summon her Patronus (both of them were a fox) at this age. She was able to close her mind against her father at a young age which he ended up working with her on to become a powerful Occlumens. When he also found out she could read Draco's mind one evening at the dinner table, he trained to make her a powerful Legilimens too. She passed her O.W.L's in her 5th year with an easy 'Outstanding' in each of her subjects. With her excelling subjects being, DADA, Potions, Charms, Herbology and Transfiguration, she prefers more hands-on, doing subjects though she does amazing in the more academic ones too.

Hogwarts Life Up To Now:
In her first year, she became friends with the Weasley twins on the train as she loved the trouble that they made, already planning on pulling pranks when they get there. When she had the sorting hat placed on her head, to Athena's surprise, the magical artefact asked her what house she wanted to be placed in as it thought she had fine qualities to be fitted into each house. She obviously chose Slytherin to run with the Malfoy tradition. When Fred and George sadly looked at her as they made their way across the hall from her, she put on a sad face though was secretly overjoyed she had befriended Gryffindors already. Lucius had advised her to do that, though he didn't want to, as he thought that Harry Potter, the boy who 'lived' would be placed into that house like his father and his filthy muggle-born mother so therefore she needed to get close to Gryffindors too. She was made the youngest Slytherin and Hogwarts seeker by Professor Dumbledore as he saw her talent on her broom in her first flying lesson and also Slytherin was missing a Seeker. Athena also won a lot of the house points for correct answers in classes and was deemed 'the brightest witch of her age'. She also becomes friends with Cedric Diggory in Hufflepuff at the end of year 1. Other than these events, the first 2 years went quickly with not much happening other than the odd prank pulled and AJ beginning already to excel in all her classes. When Harry and Draco joined in the same year, she also found out that the Weasley's younger brother Ron would be joining in that year too. When Draco sat down with Athena at the Slytherin table which the hat barely touching his hair, she asked him if he'd managed to for fill their fathers wish of 'befriending' Potter to make it easier to get to him, but he told her that he had declined him for a Weasley on the staircase outside the great hall. Athena told him not to worry however as she could still potentially 'befriend' him through the twins. After successfully doing so and writing to her father about these events, he tells her that he is proud of her but disappointed in Draco for not completing his simple request. At the end of that first year, Athena manages to gain the trust and respect of the 'golden trio', though she had no clue about Professor Quirrel aiding Voldemort or the trio going after him. That year is the first year since she joined that she lost the house cup because Dumbledore gave out a ridiculous amount of house points to Gryffindor at the end right before the winner was announced. However Slytherin still won the Quidditch cup as Potter was also made seeker after an incident with Draco but Athena was, and is still, too much of a good seeker to let the snitch slip. At the beginning of her 4th year, Athena, Draco and Lucius ran into the Weasleys and Harry and Hermione in a book shop, where both of the men proceeded to make fun of the Weasleys and the other two. She shot them all fake apologetic looks though she was laughing on the inside at both her father and her brothers' comments. She oddly noticed that Lucius slipped a book into the youngest Weasley's cauldron and decided to ask him about it when they get home. That year she used her Parceltounge to open the chamber of secrets and let out the Basilisk and framed all of the events on Ginny Weasley. She no longer trusts Athena after that as Ginny swears it was Athena that did it and not herself though she had no proof so everyone just ignored it. Not a lot happened in her 5th year apart from passing all of her O.W.L's and that there was a first-ever escape from Azkaban who happens to be Athena's disowned second cousin, Sirius Black. Now we're up to the point where she starts her 6th year.
