Recap

Snape had a hold of her tie and brought her down so that they were face to face, inches away from each other.

"You tell anyone about this, you're going to get punished." He growled.

"Don't worry, sir. My father won't be hearing about this." Athena smirked, mocking her brothers' frequent words.

Snape let go of her tie and watched as she left the room.

Once she closed the door, he let his head fall to his desk.

"Shit." He whispered into thin air.

Athena smiled from outside the door and sucked her teeth.

She made her way back to her common room.

Proudly.

Cassie bombarded Athena with questions as soon as she walked through the door, but she stayed quiet with a smirk, not letting on to anything or giving her any hints.

"Athena Janus Malfoy, you better answer me right now before I start assuming some things that I shouldn't be assuming."

"I mean, you were assuming them anyway so I'll just let your mind wander," Athena answered back playfully.

"For fucks sake, Aj. Stop." Cassie cried as she jumped onto her bed and buried her head in her pillow.

Athena and Aria shared a look and started giggling between themselves.

"I'm going to get ready for bed. Today has been tiring." Athena yawned after she exaggerated the last sentence.

Cassie's head snapped up from her pillow as Aria muffled her giggles with her hand.

"Today, or the detention?" She said slowly and curiously.

"Who knows, Cass? Who knows?" Athena answered before exiting the room.

She closed the bathroom door and heard a muffled scream.

Cassie often did that when she got frustrated. It was something that had rubbed off onto the other two girls too, though Cassie screamed into her pillow the most.

Athena sat on the edge of the bathtub with the card off of her parents in her hand. She had managed to grab it when she went to get her pyjamas out because she needed to read the other letter off of her father.

She opened the envelope again and took out a bit of paper that was behind the card.

She unfolded it and began reading.

Dear Athena,

Your mother and I are fine as always just missing you dearly. And your brother.

All is normal at home, no changes really. However, my mark has been pulsing faintly like I showed you yesterday and keeps gaining colour and fading again like the Dark Lord is out somewhere struggling to stay alive. As I told you before you left, this is not normal and we must be ready for him when he returns.

I am glad that the other schools have arrived like planned and everything is running smoothly.

Please do think about your decision for the tournament. We don't want you to get hurt but the truth is we cannot force you not to compete, and as I have said before, there are other ways to prove yourself to him. Do keep that in mind.
