Recap

The three made their way to the dungeons, the two boys complaining about the cold as they always did. Athena had grown used to it, along with the rest of Slytherin house, as she resided down there.

They were one of the last groups to arrive outside of the Potions room, awaiting the arrival of their Professor to let them in.

"Hi, Aj. Weasley's." Cassie and Aria greeted in unison, as though they were twins themselves, both of them leaning against the wall.

"Hiya, bitches." Athena responded, going to join them, the twins on her tail.

"Hi," Fred and George spoke shyly, they knew that Athena's Slytherin friends didn't like them and this was all the interaction they had as not to make it awkward for Athena.

They waited in silence for the next 60 seconds or so before the potion rooms door swung open.

"In. Now." Snape growled.

The students scrambled through the door whilst Athena made sure she was the last one to enter the room so that she could wink at their Professor as she passed. He returned her gesture with a sneer, although really, he appreciated it. He would never let that on though.

Athena went and sat in one of the middle seats on the middle row of tables that held 6 people. Fred and George were to her right whilst Cassie and Aria were to her left. Lee Jordan also joined the end of the table next to Fred as he was good friends with the twins too.

"As you should be aware by now, you will be sitting a start of year assessment. If you prove to have lost all of your potion making ability over the holidays then fear not, because if you score less than 50% on this test, you will no longer be needing them." He explained as he circled the room, handing out tests upside down.

"What do you mean by that, Professor Snape?" A dopey Gryffindor by the name of Casey Anderson raised his hand to ask him. Athena had no idea how he had managed to survive this far into the advanced potions module as he had, let alone Hogwarts itself.

"What I mean, Mr Anderson is that if you don't pass this test, you will get kicked off of the course." Snape sighed annoyed.

"Now, there are two parts to this test, the first is 20 tick the box questions, the second is an eight-inch essay."

Snape was passing the tests and lined paper out faced down when he heard a giggle ring out through his perfectly silent classroom.

"Malfoy! What are you playing at now?" Snape yelled whilst slamming his fist on the desk in front of her, making the two other Slytherins and three Gryffindors on her row jump in fright.

"I'm not doing anything, Professor." She shrugged innocently.

"Yes, you were, you just giggled." He told her.

"I didn't actually, sir. I have no clue what you are on about." Athena replied.

She was telling the truth, it was Cassie who giggled. Aria had already begun making jokes about Snape so obviously it gained a reaction from the girl next to her. Athena wasn't a snitch though so she wouldn't tell on her friend, even if that meant getting herself into trouble.
