Recap

They stared for a moment, breaths hitched, eyes flamed with emotions neither could grasp, Snape's hands resting on the small of Athena's back and her wrist whilst hers were both on his chest, feeling his heart race beneath his many layers.

Snape turned away finally and sighed heavily, letting her go.

"I'm sorry," Athena repeated.

"No, it's fine. I'd say it's not your fault but it was so I'm not going to lie, but when I say "be careful" and "you might hurt yourself", I'm not saying it because it is fun to pronounce."

"Your right. Thank you," she whispered, her head held down as the corner of her mouth lifted upwards.

"No problem," Snape nodded as he put a hand on her shoulder gently, "you can go now."

And with that, Athena picked her bag up and raced out of the room to find her best buds.

Athena walked with quite some speed to the great hall.

Her heart was pounding from the interaction she had just had with her potions Professor but it also sent waves of electricity and excitement through her.

Being that close to him was like being held by an addictive drug. She wanted more, though she knew she couldn't. Better yet, she didn't even know what he felt about her back. Though she knew that he had been treating her different recently and that something wasn't quite the same as it was last year, she could help but feel like he was trying his hardest to brush her off like she was any other student.

And deep down she knew that that was all she would ever be.

"Miss Malfoy?" A gentle voice stopped her and her thoughts in their tracks.

Athena looked up.

"Professor McGonagall," she smiled back politely.

"Are you okay, dear? You seem to be lost in your thoughts." She spoke with a worried tone.

"I have been a lot recently," Athena admitted.

"Would you like to have some tea with me in my office, if you are free, and I can help you if I can?" She smiled sweetly.

"That would be lovely, Professor. Are you sure you don't mind?"

"Not at all, Athena. We haven't had a good catch-up in a long time anyway." She assured as she began walking the small journey to her office from where they were.

Minerva McGonagall had to be Athena's favourite Professor at Hogwarts. Ever since her first year, Minnie had always complained about the fact that Athena didn't get sorted into Gryffindor. She always praised her and her transfiguration skills and knowledge and her love for Quidditch and how good of a seeker she was.

They had always enjoyed chats and catch-ups with tea and biscuits and she even granted her permission to call her by her first name when they were on their own.

That alone was an achievement for a student to accomplish.

"Come in, come in dearie," She ushered the Slytherin into the room.
