*Trigger Warning: Mild Violence and Fighting*

Link could tell the King had more he wanted to say but suddenly the door behind them flew open and a guard rushed in. When he reached Link and Zelda he quickly fell to one knee and bowed to the King. "Your Majesty, we have just received word from Goron Chief Daruk that they are in need of reinforcements. They are being attacked by mobs of monsters."

Lian stepped forward. "We will send as many men as we can. How many did he request?"

The knight looked up at Link's father. "Actually, Sir, Chief Daruk only requested that one knight be sent. Link."

Lian's eyes widened and Link shared the shock but restrained from letting it show on his face. Both the King and Link's father looked at Link before Lian sighed. "We have several men that we can send, son, you don't need-"

Link's face hardened into determination. "I can go, Father... as long as it's fine with the King that is."

The King opened his mouth to protest but Link looked from his father to the king. "I don't mean to step out of my place but Chief Daruk is in immediate assistance. We don't have time to gather soldiers. I can get there quickly and help the Gorons."

The King sighed. "Fine, I will allow you to go."

Zelda stepped forward. "Father, please let me go too. This might give me a chance for my powers to awaken."

"Fine, but go quickly and, Link, keep my daughter safe."

Link nodded and he and Zelda quickly raced out of the throne room. They hurried to the stable and the one managing it seemed surprised they needed their horses back so soon. "It's an emergency," Link explained. After that Epona and Jesper were quickly brought to them.

"Do you think we will make it in time to help?" Zelda asked Link as she climbed up onto her horse.

Link sighed. "We can only hope." Was all he could think to say.

Link couldn't help but feel a little disappointed though that he had to rush off again. The one moment they had to relax at the castle and it was interrupted. Link wanted a longer chance to see his father and Liliana. The young knight looked back at the castle and to his surprise saw Liliana standing on the many walls. When she noticed Link had seen her she turned her away and then disappeared back into the castle. That's when it hit Link that she must have at least heard something about Link having to rush off and help Daruk fight against a hoard of monsters. That probably worried her as well as Link knew it worried his father. He had seen the look on his father's face when he heard that Daruk had requested Link specifically.

Link shook his head to clear those thoughts out of his head. He needs to focus on hurrying to Death Mountain. There would be time to worry about his family later but right now Daruk needed him. He flicked Epona's reins and she started a quick trot. They had to hurry. They hurried through castle town and then started along one of the many roads. Link assumed that Goron City wasn't the place under attack and Vah Rudania probably wasn't either but that left the rest of the Volcano and surrounding mountains to be the place where the battle field was.

It didn't take long before Link spotted a frantic Goron standing in the middle of the road. Both him and Zelda pulled their reins back to stop their horses and the Goron walked over to them. "We weren't expecting the princess," He said as a greeting.

Link glanced at Zelda. "The King asked that she come. Now, where is Chief Daruk?"

The Goron gestured up the mountain and it wasn't hard to spot the dark figures battling each other. "He is up there. A scout spotted the monsters walking along that pass and if it wasn't for the guard they would have been able to attack Goron City. That would have been very problematic with the elders, women, and children."
