The heralds of seikatsu

Earning their title after passing from the rank of seikatsu envoy. They are the backbone of the seikatsu and the top echelons of their other peers. Though as much as they seem to have their loyalty pledged to the council. You could nearly never tell what other motive they held for their own gains.

Even if the other soldiers of the seikatsu wasn't aware of the clan he hailed from, surely the council does, they were the ones in charge of admitting people into the guild. Surely they would have been suspicious of him as a spy. But if they were why did they allow him to become a member? Why would they allow him to work under heralds at all? Her of all heralds.

Did he have any other secrets? What did have to do get into the seikatsu? do the other heralds know, he had to have served under a different herald before coming to Higana right? If the council did know and allowed him then what clandestine plans do they have? as a herald, why wasn't she aware of this? she is after all the herald he was serving, the closest herald to him in fact meaning she was the one under his investigation, the one in most danger.

Things aren't adding up and seeing as she was someone who rather enjoyed mathematics, it annoyed her.

the envoy's mouth trembled, her head raising slightly to get a glance of her herald before bowing once again.

"f-forgive me, my lady"

"hm.." Amara hummed.

"and... your face... my lady?" another had the courage to ask.

Amara raised her hand. "do you like it? It's Kannon's face you know... Or do you prefer... this? or this? or this?" amara fanned her hand over her face allowing it to change shape and look each time. The heralds don't wear mask, that bit is true. So their real names and faces are hidden among their reapers. Where they need to make a true appearance, they would have a special sigil placed in their hand, so with a wave, their faces would change to a myriad of others. "or... are you asking for my true face?" amara reverted to the one she originally used.

"n-no, lady calliope, we wouldn't dare"

"...regardless, as you all have probably heard from eaves dropping on me... the Mizurai is truly a Hirai... so, I want half of you to stop following me and keep an eye on him instead... I don't trust him completely just yet" Amara flung her arm to the side. "ah... and don't report any of this to the council"

"'if they keep secrets from me, then I suppose I'll do the same as well' that is what you were thinking right, my lady?" sora's voice appeared amongst the line of envoys. She should have seen noticed him, he was the only one that wasn't bowing nor kneeling properly. Not only that but the other soldiers were ever more relaxed.

"hmph... your savior has arrived," she said, eying the other envoys "but... I'm guessing since you're teasing me, you wish to volunteer as the head of the team who keeps an eye on the spy?"

"you know me too well" he smiled and laughed. "haha, make way for your superior. don't worry gang, I'll take care of it. I mean, how bad can it be?" he spoke to his subordinates who were looking at him as if begging for help. Tch, Sora's being like this is the whole reason this company is reckless.

"heh... as I was saying... report back to me on his every move, don't lose sight of him but be careful... he's much more dangerous than you think seeing as he's the prince of the north" Amara smiled. "... and if a word of this gets to the council... I'll deal with you all myself..."

"my lady, leave him to us, we will make short work of him, trust us, he will die by our blade before the council even give a passing thought of this" one of them stood up, judging by just his voice he sounded arrogant, far too sure of himself, a suck up too seeing as seemed like he wanted to get closer to his herald the way sora is. But the only reason she keeps sora close by is because he actually is of use to her.
