The emperor of Jinsei

The emperor Hinomitsu is the second most powerful person in the lands of eternity who holds the aspirations of the people and the support of the San-bugyo. The first of course, being the goddess whom he had made the shogun of the Bakufu.

Her blade drops from her hand, slowly she steps away from him. Her knees weak as the adrenaline finally stopped rushing through her veins. She looked at the palms of her hands. Palms that had she gone through with it, would have been drowned in blood. Amara raised one hand, clenching it over the eye that stung greatly. "I really... I really was going to kill you"

Her wide eyes which had latched on the ground, slowly raised to look at him. He didn't seem fazed the slightest bit judging by the soft smile on his lips. As if he had accepted his fate. He smirked, slowly approaching her. Only for her to walk away from him, one step at a time at a slower pace than he was walking towards her, out of fear, she could still hurt him had her body given a second thought without her knowing. "why..." Amara began , her back pressed up against the study's wall of scrolls and texts.

Texts of the teachings of diligence. Scrolls of the philosophies of gold. Books on the guide to diligence. Her hair tangled in all of them as even though she was hindered by the shelf, she was still trying to get away from him. "why aren't you upset that I tried to kill you? I really was going to do it! Don't you feel upset?" tears pricked and struck her eyes. The ever growing blobs of water that hung on her lashes beginning to hinder her vision.

"well... I lied to you about my name... didn't I?" he asked, placing a hand on her chin. His eyes glancing at the dagger that had cut through the wood and stuck out like a nail that had yet to be hammered. Then she realized. She was the one who was supposed to be angry.

"why... why are you still looking at me with that pathethic look? i... tried to kill you..."

"as upset as I am that you lied to me, my lady-" her?

But she kept her tears. Lowering her head so that it'll continue to fall to the stone slab she stood on. While keeping her gaze off of his eyes so that she wouldn't break her act. "Aren't you upset... that I just attempted to eliminate you.... My lord? Don't you feel angry or disappointed or sad?" she continued

"I'm sure you have your reasons just like I do-"

"because I do... I'm disappointed at myself for not seeing your ruse... imperial rat, just because you didn't kill me doesn't mean this is done...and your reasons... do you want to know mine?" he stayed quiet as he realized, he was so close to leaving this without consequences but it was too late. "I needed to stay safe from those who ambushed my home... you- you're the emperor's lapdog who's infiltrated the seikatsu"

"so why didn't you kill me?"

"why didn't you kill me?"

"my lady, please, this isn't the best place to speak about this"

"if you're so insistent on not speaking about that, the fact remains that I just tried to kill you. The fact that you are the prince of the north, someone who should be attempting to kill me just at the slight chance of that. and I am a seikatsu herald, the enemies of the emperor's government and the shogun's Bakufu...." he smiled, laughing softly. His hand that inched from her wet cheeks to the back of her head, forcing her face to bury into his shirt.

"no matter how much I am the emperor's lapdog, I'm still a seikatsu envoy... I'm loyal to you, not the delphic rat," he said, Amara could feel him nuzzle his face into her hair. "and what better way to die other than getting struck down by the blade of the finest seikatsu herald?"

Her arms, though weak from before, slowly wrapped around him, her hands clenching down on his cape like jacket. it wasn't to hold on to him tightly. To keep him from leaving her. it was to keep her hands occupied. She didn't want to kill him. she really didn't. but he was right there, defenseless. "have you tried... did you ever... try to kill me?"
