"how'd you figure out it was me?"
"well" Amara looked away, not wanting to meet his eyes "you always had a little jealousy in your eyes, Isidore" Orias scoffed, Amara could feel him gritting his teeth as he sat beside her. Amara slid herself away from him. "well that and the fact that i'm not an idiot, unlike you of course"
He places a hand on hers, a wide smile on his face. "is that so, asteria?" he teased her, whispering slightly in her ear "well? Let's put things in the past and why don't you just tell me how you contacted me with Candles over your shoulder? Better yet, why you're with him in the first place" he grinned, his brows trying not to scowl at her. "the entire town saw you two together"
"are you talking about Haru?" Amara raised an eyebrow, snatching her hand away from him. she hummed a laugh. "jealous are we?"
"I don't really think he deserves to be named right now" he scoffed, puffing smoke from the kiseru smoking pipe in his hand to her face, even though he knew how much Amara didn't like it. the smell and sheer colour of the purple smoke was enough to make her sick. or maybe it was because the pipe reminded her of that fox businesswoman.
"hm, then i don't think it was any of your business" Amara snapped as she walked to the other side of her garden, lighting up the candles near the small shrine. "you don't need to know my every move, Isidore" bending down and pressing her hands together she was nearly begging the local gods to help her and curse him.
he, out of all oddities, followed her, watching her silently with an unamused look on his face, he was never one to be superstitious after all. "I call it a safety precaution... darling"
Amara laughed, brushing past him as she wanted to make her way inside. it isn't good to talk to this lunatic for more than needed. "and here I thought you hated me, isidore" Amara could nearly hear his blood boil. he hated when she called her that. it was one of the few things he regretted, giving her his last name that is.
he laughed back, making Amara glance at him one last time. "well, that can still be arranged," Amara furrowed her brows. "so what's about to happen is going to be relatively and quite painless, that if you do what I say"
"I won't take order's from you anymore, isidore, we're done here" Amara tried to leave him behind. "don't bother me anymore"
"oh Empyrea, I always liked how you pretend to not be infatuated by me" he stared at her as if she was his next meal, which she was after he charged at her with fists in front of him. Amara dodged and swiftly went behind him, jabbing him on the spin with her elbow. and with that, she sees the condition of her terrace, splinters of wood falling out of his fists as he lifts his hand from the destroyed wood.
Orias grabbed her hand and flung her to the other side of the opening. Amara landed on a tree trunk and lunged at him with a kick only for him to brush by her. She landed on her terrace, the two now having a distance between them.
She looked at the tree, it wasn't harmful aside from being covered in mist and wind that she used to soften her fall. The wooden engawa on the other hand received some scratches and marks. Though it's not like it wouldn't eventually be covered in paint in the future anyway.
She snapped her fingers, rain beginning to pour down so strong from clothes so large it covered the entire city. It was nighttime anyway, so it wouldn't be odd for the ordinary citizens. Amara gathered lightning onto her hand jumping from the edge of the terrace and trying to strike him from above. With a wave of his hand, she was flung to the other side of the garden.
She softened her fall with air, pulling in a gale to push him off balance as well.
Telekinesis. A classic power. A gift Amara wanted when she was younger so she wouldn't have to move an inch when she's lazy. To be able to pull anything she needed with a flick of her hand. It was powerful. And she wanted it back then.
