Amara entered her large library. Three people already lounging about and making a mess. She sighed loudly, she was only moving from one bothering bunch to the next. "I left for only an hour, why does my library look like an abyss corridor?" she grumbled. The air was oddly stuffy that day. Maybe it was the dust the rays of golden sunlight had projected on to. Maybe it was the piles of books, trinkets of small alchemy and stray pieces of paper that decorated every inch of her library which she didn't have time nor was in the mood to clean up just yet before she left. "just because you're are three of my best subordinates doesn't mean you get to enter my home whenever you want" she began.

"oh? then who else would entertain you, my lady?" Meissa teased jabbing at Amara's heart.

"my lady?" Amara scoffed "I can already think of a thousand different people to do that... besides, I don't have time for entertainment just yet"

"oh? did the minor envoys leave you too much work?" Eira asked, tilting her head slightly. Minor envoys was a nickname Eira had given the envoys who weren't particularly very skilled in anything and merely errand boys and girls for her. Though sometimes useful, since they had no other use aside from keeping the town peaceful and delivering goods from one place to the other, that leaves Amara with a lot left to do since she had quite a bit of them in her division.

"hmph, I should beat some sense into them for being so incompetent" Meissa huffed.

"I don't mind honestly, it's around this time that we get quite a bit of work for us no? convincing allies, eliminating enemies, sending out diplomats, collecting debt, speaking to ambassadors and foreign nobles" Amara listed the things off her head she had given to her envoys. though she was happy with the work she had that made her remain in Jinsei, she still wondered why she was the one left to run the Seikatsu in the land of eternity.

the other heralds were taking care of matters abroad, becoming diplomats themselves as she was stuck with more trivial matters here. stars, she wonders what the damsel has been doing. most like dragging the Seikatsu's name through dirt with her little plans.

"how can we help?" Ruyi asked shortly.

"hm... the work is for me to do, so... oh! I know, have any of you heard of the name Harune?" Amara asked, beginning to clean up their mess.

"he's the new recruit in your division is he not?" Eira helped slightly, passing her the books on the table. "I have met him a few times if I'm not wrong on assignments outside Higana. other than that, I don't know much..."

"are you sure?" Amara furrowed her brows.

"yes and you ought to stop asking the other children, they're already scared of you enough" Eira huffed.

"me? I'm not the ice queen librarian who hunts down those whose late on returning books" Amara raised the rather soggy book on the table. Another poor soul who was unfortunate enough to fall prey to the icy envoy with enough talent to be a grand mage in a Sumerian academy. "how long was it this time? I mean, how long did it take for you to stop being lazy ? Archons, if only you'd stop napping and get your job done"

"what are you talking about? I get my job done" she placed her hands on her hips. her lashes trickled with ice. Her voice, higher than usual.

"consistently? I don't think so, faulmagier" Amara cooed.

"I am not lazy, I'm merely conserving strength, the only reason I wasn't this time around was because the book was a month overdue and the borrower had insulted the knowledge one gets from simply reading" Eira's face brightened as she reached a hand behind her, pulling out a decorated book. "besides, it gave me a reason to use this"
