The abyssal axis

An organization of monsters, corruptions, daemons and beasts that hails from dark lands and corridors and spires of the abyss. It's known that they hold a grudge against the gods for not allowing the divine and heavenly enlightening light of Empyrea to touch their lands. And for leaving the mortal realm with no knowledge of anything.

Amara stiffened her body as she heard those words. "the daughter of two very powerful nobles could not possibly be dead when her body has never been found. A shame you've been missing for so long your step- I mean your dear brother ended up inheriting all the wealth you're supposed to have gotten"

Amara's eyes flicker with excitement. "he's alive?" though she was slightly displeased seeing as he had stolen all her rightful money.

"at least I hope he is," Hijiri sighed "he's missing, no one has seen him for years. It seems the family of saints are good at hiding from the spotlight" he teased her. "I have to say I'm pleased everyone finally knows you're alive as much as I've believed you are. A shame I can't be happy for long" he paused, narrowing his eyes.

"you are a seikatsu herald are you not?" Hijiri asked. Amara stayed quiet, in fear as if she spoke, something would stab herthrough her heart. She could already feel the end of the blade set on her chest. "I'm guessing it is for the gifted I bought in the underworld market"

Amara furrowed her brows remembering the information slip Kirika passed her. written on the slip said that it wasn't the prince of the Kinzokurai that bought them as far as she remembered. She can't recall who exactly bought them but she knew that they were related to the Kinzokurai. So why would the prince be lying at that moment? She could only play along at that point.

"so you did?" Amara forced herself to ask. "you bought... gifted from the underworld?" Amara gritted her teeth. "you do realize, even if the emperor despises the gifted he would never allow the trafficking of them?"

"they were for a good purpose I assure you" he replied.

Amara clenched her fists under her sleeves. "but you bought them... you destroyed their humanity by offering money in exchange for them" slowly she unravels her fists, feeling the air rip behind her. Easily, she reveals the dozens of tiny daggers floating in the air behind her under her command. With a single flick of her hand she could easily allow them to pierce through the air and on to the man she set her eyes on.

"it isn't in my power to destroy the underworld no matter what colour I wear" he narrowed his eyes at her. Amara stopped for a moment. Not finding anything else to spout out of her mouth. This old geezer, despite seeing the dozens of blades that could cause his death right in front of him, still went on. How amusing, she nearly held back her snort. "so I doubt buying them is going to change any of that" Hijiri paused letting out a groan like sigh.

Amara scoffed, holding her hand in the air and in place for her blades that awaited her command. "I saw you were close with hirai"

"I doubt that is any of your business" Amara huffed, her anger coming for him and for remembering Haru's lie. She clenched her hand into a fist in the air, she could hear her knives slowly moving, their blades shining under the moonlight, glinting with danger.

"calm down now, aren't you going to allow an old man to ramble on his last words before his death?" Amara sucked in a breath through her teeth her hand slowly unrolling. She should give him at least that. "he took his late father and brother's burden of managing the imperial guard while the immortal shogun does nothing about the after effects of her wars" he spouted. "but little did you know, he once defied the words of the emperor.. and was banished... all up until just now"
