Previously,
My eyes widened as a weird feeling rose inside me. She is creepy yet beautiful. The white moonlight radiating bright light on her milky skin. Her black smooth hair perfectly covers her ears. The simple black night gown she wore perfectly hugged her body. She looked like an angel. To be precise she kinda feels like a fallen angel. I guess good looks run in their genes. She is everything I ever wanted to be in my whole life. Bold, beautiful, brilliant, sarcastic, cheerful and scary at the same time. The aura she holds is different. She is scary but she has a good heart. She slightly chuckled while walking. I slowly ran behind her.
"Where are we going now?" I asked more like a whisper.
"To Jihun's room" She said carelessly.
What are we going to do in his room? What truth is Jihun trying to hide?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"But why his room?" I asked.
She didn't reply, just kept walking till we were just a few steps away from the corridor to his room. She stopped behind the majestic wall and pushed me behind her. She peeped through the large wall checking if the passage was clear for us to move forward.
She suddenly turned, making me startle a bit. "Just stay quiet and don't even try to make a sound. We are going to sneak into his room and hide in the left corner behind the big curtain. Don't ask me why. You will know once we get in. As I said we might even die now. But, at least you can see your boyfriend once before dying." She said and chuckled mockingly.
How could she? Even in a situation like this she is still so cool and sarcastic. I don't know whether she is being honest or sarcastic.
"I am just being honest." She said and before I could even reply she pulled me to the corridor. The distance between where we stood to his door was just 20-30 meters. We slid across the corridor like a cat on eggs. With full care, caution and determination to not trigger some great disaster. Finally we reached the luxurious majestic door. The door which was open when I left was now half closed. The gap between both the doors had space for one person to enter at a time. Ae-Ri sneaked inside the gap of the doors and held out her hand asking me to come in.
I followed and as soon as I entered she held my hand and dragged me along with her. We both ran and hid behind the curtain. The big cupboard in front blocking the straight view of the screen. It was a safe place to hide. No one would notice us as long as we do something stupid. The night air gushed inside, the moon light lighting the room perfectly. The corner of the screen was flying in the air. I held the screen with one hand leaving only a bit of gap to see what was happening.
Two pairs of legs inside the room which was away from the hall, parallel to the screen we were hiding behind. The entrance of the room covered with another screen made it impossible to see the faces. Only the legs can be seen in the gap left between the floor and screen. One person standing and the other person got up and started walking around the person standing who I assume to be Jihun.
What is happening? What is the truth Ae-Ri wants me to know? Who is the other person inside the room? Why are they not talking?
I felt hands holding mine. I turned around and Ae-Ri gave me an assuring look squeezing my hands. Strangely I felt myself easea bit , but that didn't last long.
"I heard you turned down the deal with Hyun-Ki." The other person started the conversation making turn my head towards the room.
"He was naive. I cannot accept his deal." Jihun replied and the other person started to chuckle.
His voice itself gives a creepy feeling. But why is Jihun answering this guy? Isn't he the king? Doesn't he have all the power?
"I see! The slave of yours is still trying to find out about you? Guess I should send a guard to finish her off." The other continued.
"No! She does not have anything to do with us and you better stay away from her." Jihun warned the other person.
"Calm down Jihun. I have nothing to lose but you do! Why do you always cause trouble, huh? It's so simple, you just have to follow my damn orders!" The other guy suddenly shouted, making me flinch a bit.
Tears build in my eyes hearing the conversation between the two men. I still clearly don't understand the situation. The only thing now I know is Jihun is in great danger and only that is enough to break me into pieces.
"Don't forget I have many eyes to watch you Jihun. You can never hide anything from me. Nothing can slide away without me knowing. Just think infinite times before you act, because your parents' lives are in my hands." He said and started walking out.
Rhythmic sound of that person's footsteps echoed inside the room. The screen slid away, his legs covered with pants made of rich black fabric, his royal blue velvet boots perfectly gripping his feet and calves. My eyes slowly lifted up to see the face of the person.
Who do you think it will be? Who is the guy in blue velvet boots?
