My Punishment

Previously,

"This is highly absurd and atrocious!" I shouted in anger tears threatening to leave my eyes. My heart clenching seeing the kind of person my lover has become.

The guard pointed a sword straight to my neck waiting for his King's permission to chop of my head.

Will he let me die? End all my sufferings here, at this moment?

"You cannot do this !" I yelled, the guards trying to shut my mouth but I continuously wiggled out of their grip.

Wanting to say all I had to say to him. At this point I was not talking to Jihun, I was talking to the heartless king sitting there peacefully on his throne while taking away the peace of the citizens. Every single eye on me, some looked at me in shock, some in confusion, some in excitement, waiting eagerly for the drama and for me to get punished for this. Something is definitely wrong with the people here.

"You are an ignorant person" I said pointing at him with my chained hands, metal clanging. Soft gasps of people can be heard. My eyes showed anger, disgust and indescribable pain.

"You cannot kill them just because they stole food. It is not their fault but yours, because you failed to eradicate poverty in your kingdom. If there is someone who should be punished it should be you!" I shouted at the so-called 'king'.

'Is she mad?' I could hear people's gasps and murmurs. There was tension in the air but he was so cool not really caring about what I said.

He just smirked mockingly at me.

He leaned back on his fur filled luxurious chair and crossed his legs. His both hands rested on the gold plated hand rest. He looked straight at my eyes and motioned his hands, ordering the guard to put his sword down. At his order the guard placed his sword inside his scabbard, bowed his head and stepped back.

"Well you are right young lady." He stated. His eyes fixed on me.

People inside the royal court went completely crazy hearing his words. The rude king has admitted his mistake for the first time, at least I believe.

"What you said is right and I declare them free. But what you did now is totally against my laws and I intend to punish you for that."

He continued as I shut my eyes close, ready to receive the severe punishment for insulting him.

"You are going to be my slave, that will be your punishment ! " He said, leaving everyone in utter shock.

" The court is dismissed! Take her to the maid's room." He said to the royal maid pointing at me and left the court with the chief.

The head maid I assume came near me and asked the guards to unlock my chain. The guards did as she said. She was a soft old lady with a warm smile.

She took me outside the court along with her inside the palace. Everything happened playing inside my head, his voice ringing in my mind. I am more afraid right now! I thought he would hang me to death or at worst feed me to the loins. Why would he want me as his slave?

What is he going to do to me? What is going to happen?
