After we eat, the gathering becomes nice and comforting. Everyone is sitting and just talking.

"I believe it is time for a toast," Julian says and we all agree "To all the mothers of course"

"Oh perfect, I brought a bottle," Ellie says excitedly and she goes up to grab her champagne.

"Champagne sounds delightful," my mum says

"Agreed" Jane replies and Ellie skips down with some and my stomach turns. Something about her does not agree with me.

Julian opens it and begins to pour glasses, for Jane, and my mum but he is called over to the barbeque so he hands me the bottle since Olivia has the baby and I pour some for myself and I bring the glass up to my face to try it

"What are you doing?" Ellie says walking up behind me

"Taking a sip of champagne" I reply

"Ah why?" she says

"Because that's what it's for" I reply back

"I bought that champagne for the MOTHERS to drink, for them to celebrate," she says

"That's what I am doing celebrating, we are here to celebrate mother's- me," I say

"Oh please, why are we celebrating you," Ellie says to me

"Ah because I am a mother" I reply to her "It's mothers day"

"Please Vicky, you're not a mother you pawn your kids off to your mother, your stupid friend Scarlett, and worse to Jane, she's not even related to the kid," she says and this is a low blow, I have been taking crap from her since she got here. I can take disrespect to me, but not to my child nor my parenting

"How dare you," I say to her

"The truth hurts doesn't it" she replies

"Oh yeah, then what's your problem with me, are you scared Jax is going to leave you for me?" I snark back and before I know it I feel a burn on my cheek, which my hand immediately shoots too.

She slapped me. Without thinking I charge at her and push her against the wall and she starts screaming. I hear everyone rush in and I feel 2 people pulling myself and Ellie apart.

I can hear Ellie screaming fuck you, and I think it's Julian and Grayson pulling me off her. I can hear Jane screaming in the background

"Calm down Tori" I hear Grayson say before Jax's voice booms

"What the fuck is happening"

"She attacked me," Ellie says pointing her finger at me

"No, I didn't she is lying" I reply

"Really bitch, you really think he's going to believe you," she says

"Yeah I do actually, no one gives a fuck about you- they do me," I say

"Can you grow up?" Jax says turning to me and it hits me deep "First with the lies now this"

"You know what Jax, you can get fucked" I say and I push past everyone, and I hear Olivia mutter that she can keep Violet. I thank her and grab the keys to my car and I drive away before I do something worse.

How can Jax look at me and tell me to grow up when he doesn't have the full story. How can Ellie be allowed to tell me that I am not allowed to celebrate mothers day? Last time I checked I gave birth to a baby and am a mother.

I drive around for 30 minutes before I pull into a diner, and I get a message from Jane that she will keep Violet and when I am ready I can come back and get together which is a relief. I have 10 missed calls from Scarlet and numerous from my family.

I turn my phone off and sit in my car crying. I am so sick of her ruining everything for me. After I calm down I drive back to the Shepherd household, but every car in the driveway is missing, which is weird because everyone was here.

I park the car and turn my phone on and I haven't had any more messages. I sigh and put my phone away in my pocket, and walk into the house and it is deserted.

"Jane" I call out into the house "Jane"

I dial Jane's number and bring my phone and it goes to voicemail, I leave her a message to call me back and I walk into the kitchen to see it is empty.

I do hear sounds coming from the living room and I hear a male speaking in a baby voice cooing, I walk into the living room to see Jax holding Violet and I see red

"What the fuck are you doing with my child," I say and Jax turns his head

"Mum left her with me, they have all gone to look for you, she said not to come," he says

"Fuck" I reply and I run a hand through my hair

"Look Vic, I'm sorry they really told me what happened," he says

"Where is she?" I then say

"Upstairs in the shower" he replies and I nod and I grab the rest of my things ignoring him

"Vic," he says but I don't answer "Don't ignore me"

"You doubted me and didn't give me a chance" I reply and I grab the baby bag "I tried to be honest about what I saw the other day and you bit my head off"

"I know, I am sorry," he says

"I don't care, give me my baby" I reply and he hands me her, where I put her in her car seat

"Thank you for looking after her," I say to him and he nods "But don't ever speak to me again" I add and his mouth drops open. I take this as an opportunity and as I walk out of the house, I see him try to go after me but Ellie calls out for him.

I walk through the front door of my house with Violet in tow and my family, plus the Shepherds are in the kitchen and they are worried sick, Scarlett sees me first and she runs up and hugs me, and everyone turns to me and rushes over too.

"Where the hell were you?" My mum says

"Out, who left my baby with him?" I say and Jane raises her hand

"I'm sorry, but we couldn't find you"

"Oh my god I left for an hour," I say to them

"You left in a rage after a fight," my dad says

"I'm sorry but-" I go to say and my eyes well with tears when everyone sees me go to cry they stop asking questions

The room goes quiet for a second

"It's okay, we're glad you are okay" I hear and I smile

"Now, I believe we're about to make a toast?" Julian says, and the chatter reuses, everyone gets glasses and has champagne poured in them.

"Happy Mothers Day," my mum says and she raises her glass

"Happy Mothers Day" we all reply, clinking the glasses, taking a sip.
