~ PROLOGUE 02 ~

I'M SITTING on our usual lunch table, just pushing around my mush called lunch in the cafeteria. I have my eyes closed, and I'm taking slow deep breathes, hoping that it will calm my screaming stomach, and the constant waves of nausea, when one of my friends Amber calls out to me
"Yo Tori, everything is okay?"
"Yeah I'm all good" I say without looking up
"You don't look so good," Liam says to me and everyone on the table turns to me
"Jeez thanks, Liam '' I say and everyone smiles going back to their conversations, Scarlett looks at me and frowns
"Get up" she says
"What!?" I reply but not fast enough as she grabs my arm and drags me down the corridor until we find an empty classroom.
"What's going on," she says and I look at her
"Nothing," I say
"Tori, you've been holding out on me, and I know you are hurting-" she says and I look at her
"I think I'm pregnant," I say and I look down not knowing how she is going to respond
"What!?" she says "How"
"You know-how," I say to her and I half-smile
"You know that's not what I meant" she replies "Is it Sheps," she asks as an afterthought
"Yes, yes, of course, it is," I say to her
"Are you sure?" she says
"Yes, I think so, I don't remember if we were safe the last time and I missed my period, I feel so nauseous and I just have a feeling," I say
"Okay, have you taken a test?" she then asks
"No," I reply
"Okay let's ditch 5th and 6th and get a test," she says and I agree, we walk to the car and I have a sick feeling in my gut.
"It's going to be okay T," Scarlett says
"I know Scar, I'm just scared" I reply and she smiles at me unlocking her car
