~ CHAPTER 04~

GOOD MORNING BABY I say to Violet "Did you sleep well?" I ask her and she smiles at her and gurgles "Do you want to see uncle Finn?" I ask her and she smiles again
I walk down the stairs where my older brother Finn is at the breakfast bar eating cereal, he's a med student, but he has the day off, so he offered to watch Violet for me this morning whilst I get ready
"Hey cutie," he says holding his arms out for for
"Say hi uncle Finn," I say and I hand her over to Finn
"Thank you, Finn," I say and I smile
"No worries sis, I could never pass up time with the cutest baby in the whole world," he says and I smile, at the start my brothers were very apprehensive and I guess a little disappointed, but they really are the best and supportive uncles to Violet that I could ever ask for.
"I only need 30 minutes"
"Take your time," he says and I run up the stairs to get ready. I take a few classes at the college 20 minutes from here, even though I have a baby and I am 18 I want to give her the best life possible and I still want to succeed, even if that includes working full time, taking classes and taking care of her.
I walk back into my bedroom where I see Scarlett still snoring in our bed, she had a long night last night studying for a chem test. I remember taking chemistry and it was so hard, there was so much work to do, and memorise but if I can manage pregnant, she can too.
I pull the blanket up to her shoulders and tuck her in a little tighter before I go around the room just to tidy it a little, I wake up at least 3 times a night with Violet so it just gets progressively worse and worse, so I need to clean it at least once a day.
I pick up all of Scarlett and I's dirty clothes and I put them in a hamper, I then pick up all of the Violet's dirty clothes, rags and blankets and put them in a separate hamper. I then throw all of the trash in the bin, compile all of the dirty dishes, clean Violet's corner of the room and her little caddy I keep by the bed.
Lastly, I pick out an outfit for myself and Violet to wear before I turn the shower in my ensuite on. Whilst the water heats up I tidy the bathroom, by placing everything in its right spot, throwing all of the rubbish in the bin, and getting rid of all the dirty clothes.
I step into the warm water and I let it run down my back relaxing all of my tense muscles. I am so busy that the only time I get to myself is my 10-minute showers. I quickly clean my hair and body before I take a minute for myself.
Once I'm done in the shower I turn the water off, and I step out drying myself. I then quickly change into my outfit, which is just some blue skinny jeans, which hold in my baby body, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt, which I pair with my white tennis shoes. I then open my makeup bag and I fill in my brows, curl my lashes, I add mascara and some bb cream, and blush to give me colour.
After I am satisfied I head into my room where I receive a message from Jane
- working from home today, cancel all of my unimportant appointments xo Jane
I quickly reply before I walk over to my bag and I quickly cancel all of today's 'unimportant' appointments, after that I sit and scroll through Instagram before I get a call from Chloe
"Hello," I say
"Hey are you able to take me to school today?" she asks me
"Yes of course"
"Thank you!" she says
"I'll come and get you in half an hour," I say checking the time and it's 7:30
"perfect, see you soon," she says and I walk over to Scarlett and I wake her up
Once she's up I walk down the stairs to see get my baby, and something to eat and I see Grayson and Finley playing with the baby
"Hey sis," Grayson says when I reach the bottom
"Hi, Gray," I say "How has she been?" I ask Finn
"Amazing, isn't that right Vi" he answers and I pour myself a cup of coffee before I look in the cupboards and find a breakfast bar thing, I feel eyes on me so I turn around and Grayson looks down
"Is there something you need Gray?" I ask
"Um... No" he says but I'm not convinced
"Don't eat with your mouth open" my mums says walking into the kitchen
"Sorry," I say covering my mouth "Are you still good to look after Violet?" I ask her
"Yes"
"I only have 2 classes today which are an hour and Jane told me to take the day off so I'll be home straight after, but I think I'm having dinner there"
"All good," my mum says, and Scarlett trudges down the stairs half-awake rubbing her eyes.
"Morning sleeping beauty," I say
"Hey" she replies "Morning fam" she then adds
"Long night?" Finn asks
"Yes, I hate chem I don't know why I chose it" she whines
"Yuck I dropped that in 10th grade," Grayson says
"I loved chem in senior year" Finn replies and I hold my hands out for Violet which he hands over
"Yeah same" I reply
"Oh shut up, Finn you are in med school and Tori you are super smart," she says and we all laugh
I pull into the driveway and I honk the horn, handing Scarlett the rest of my apple which I grabbed on the way out
"Hey Chloe," I say when Chloe gets into the back seat of my car next to Violet
"Morning C," Scarlett says eating
"Good morning guys" She replies "are you both having dinner with us?" she then asks, I try and have dinner at the Shepherds house once a week, and Scarlett is always welcome so she usually comes too.
"Yeah I think so" I say
"Nooooooo! I can't, nooo, this is so sad, I have so much chem work" Scarlett says
"Aww, next time, but if you are, can you pick me up after school?" she asks
"Of course"
