time skip for about 2 months after the presentation.
It's finally time to go back to work. Anna and I have moved in together and everything is going great. Although it's been an amazing 2 months off, i can't wait to get back to train and for more pre season games. We're in the champions league this year and i feel confident in us that we can win it, we just need to stick as a team and work together. I can't wait to be back with the girls again.
It's currently 7:00am and training starts at 9:00am. Anna is not a morning person so I let her sleep in a little more than I did. I went downstairs to make us breakfast and to make sure that I get her some of her morning coffee otherwise she won't be able to function. On today's menu is some scrambled egg on toast with a portion of fruit on the side and obviously a cup of coffee.
First day back means only one thing, photo shoot day, fitness testing and meeting new players. Arsenal have recently signed Lindsey Horan and Emily Sonnett, they're going to be such big players for our Champions League campaign this season. I've always looked up to Lindsey so being given the chance to play with her will be an honour.
It's now time to leave and get to the training ground. For some reason I'm feeling nervous and Anna saw that and placed her hand on my thigh because she knows that it comforts me. We saw Lia and Caitlin's car pulling up next to ours and i instantly ran out and hugged Caitlin, I've missed her so much. Lia and Anna hugged and all of us began to walk into the main building to get hair and make up done for the photo shoot.
After the photo shoot and all the media stuff we needed to do, it was now time to head out back on the pitch. I partnered up with Lindsey for the passing drills and Anna didn't seem too impressed but she was partnered up with Emily so she can't be the one to be mad at me. After finishing the fitness tests, training was over and it was time to properly meet the new players which is Lindsey and Emily. They were really good during training and everyone seemed really impressed with them.
Emily: Sophie? Sophie: Yeah that's me, Hey Em. Emily: Hey, well done today. Lindsey said you impressed her and that's hard to do. Sophie: Lindsey said that about me? Emily: Yeah she did, she spoke about you before even joining this team. Lindsey: Caitlin just told me about her that's all, stop making me look like a fan girl over here Sonny. Sophie: Hey it's nothing to be embarrassed about. I really admire you as a player too if that helps you feel less embarrassed. Lindsey: Awe I appreciate that a lot Soph, thank you. Emily: I think we need to head inside to the meeting room girls, stop flirting now.
The three of us were late to the meeting and Jonas didn't look too happy about it and neither did the rest of the girls, especially Anna. How am I going to explain to her that I was late because I was too busy fangirling over Lindsey, she's just not going to like it. I mean she should understand that I was just helping them settle in right? I look over to Caitlin and she gave me a smile but gave Lindsey a cheeky wink, I wonder what their little secret is.
