It's the morning of the final, my emotions are all over the place. I've dreamt of playing in the Champions League since I was a kid never mind playing in a Champions League final.
It's finally time to head down for breakfast. Anna and I haven't spoke for 2 days. But I can't think about her today. I need to focus on what's going on tonight. I head down to breakfast and Jord and Leah are there to greet me. We say our good mornings and then head to the food.
Jordan: How'd you sleep?
Sophie: I slept real good yeah. Thought about her again. It just feels wrong to do so.
Leah: Its normal to think about it. I mean you were together for 2 years. Just try and not think about her too much.
Sophie: she's all I ever think about. Thank you guys for listening to my stupid feelings.
Jordan: They're not stupid. They're valid and you're aloud to feel them. Come here
Jordan hugs me and a tear forms in my eye. She kisses my forehead and we then start eating our breakfast. I have toast, scrambled eggs and some beans with a side of orange juice. It's a superstition for me to have that meal on a game day. We're scheduled to go on a team walk before heading to the venue tonight.
After finishing breakfast, I head up to my room. We have 2 hours spare until our walk so I have time to pack my kit and stuff. There was a knock on the door, there's only one person who'd come to my room right now. Miss Anna Patten. I open the door excepting it to be her but it's not, it's Viv.
Vivianne: Hey, can I talk to you Soph?
Sophie: Hi Viv, yeah of course, come in.
I sit down on the bed while Viv sits down by the desk. I'm scared.
Sophie: I mean it's always a pleasure to talk to you Viv, but what exactly do you need to talk about?
Vivianne: That's lovely. I just wanted to come in to see how you're doing. I know you're going through a break up and stuff right now and I know how that feels. Especially it being right before a final. Talk to me.
Sophie: First of all, someone stupid would break your heart Viv. I'm doing okay. I do miss her a lot but I know how happy Jill makes her. As long as she's happy, that's what matters most to me. I'm just really excited for tonight. I want to win it so bad. For me and most of all, for you Viv. You deserve to win it.
Vivianne: It was a long time ago don't you worry. That's understandable, its still raw so you're going to miss her. Atleast your still friends and stuff right now. No I get what your saying but sometimes your happiness needs to come first. Only you can make yourself happy. Don't rely on her. I'm glad you're excited. We've got this okay, I've got your back.
Sophie: It's not everyday where you get to have a heart to heart talk with the GOAT. Thank you though Viv, you're amazing. Thank you for being there. Let's go and win this. I think some lucky lady is waiting for you outside go and spend time with her before tonight.
Vivianne: I'm always going to be here. How'd you know she's outside, you're like a psychic! But thank you, see you on our walk. Rest up.
Sophie: See you in a bit.
Viv leaves, Lisa waves and says hi and now it's just me again. Who knew Viv was such a softie? What a woman.
After our walk, we all headed to the bus. I got on the bus and sat by Caitlin, Lia and Beth. Beth is really excited because she gets to reunite with Daan tonight. We all talk but are looking at our phones on social media. We've received so many good luck messages, it's insane.
We arrive at the ground and WOW, what a beautiful stadium it is. I can't wait to play here in a few hours. The stadium has been sold out tonight which is amazing.
Commentary
Evening all, welcome to tonight's Champions League final between Lyon and Arsenal. How do you feel like the game is going to be like Alex?
Alex Scott: I feel like it's going to be a tough test for Arsenal. Lyon are one of the best teams, especially in this competition. But I feel like Arsenal will win tonight.
Sue Smith: I'm going to disagree with Alex. I feel like Arsenal are going to win. They're favourites. Lyon has dropped in form. But I still feel like Lyon can win this tonight.

Kick off
29' Vivianne Miedema strikes and hits the post
43' Carpenter passes the ball to Van De Donk, she shoots and she scores. She doesn't celebrate to honour her former team. What a moment for the Dutch woman.
Half time
Subs- Mannum and Iwabuchi off. Foord and Roberts on.
59' Van De Donk strikes the post.
78' Roberts takes the corner and Leah Williamson connects with it and SCORES. ARSENAL HAVE EQUALISED. WHAT A MOMENT FOR LEAH.
90+3' This is the last attack for Arsenal. They need to push for a goal. Nobbs passes it wide to Foord, Foord passes the ball to Viv, Miedema fakes a shot and passes it to Roberts.
90+4' Roberts takes the ball past Van De Donk, and hits it. OH MY GOD. SHES DONE IT. WHAT A GOAL FROM THE YOUNG GUNNER. SOPHIE ROBERTS YOU BEAUTY.
I can't believe it. I ran to the corner into the fans. This place is going crazy right now. Leah comes over and kisses my forehead. We all head back to the centre. But it's all over. We've done it. We've won the Champions League.
Anna comes running towards me. She just holds me in her arms. My head lays in the crock of her neck. This feels amazing.
Everyone interrupts the hug and jumps on top of us. What a feeling this is. Leah and i being to cry in eachothers arms, I know how much this means to her. Beth goes and cuddles with Daan before coming to celebrate with us.
Viv comes up and just smiles at me. I give her the biggest hug. Lisa comes and gives me a big hug. I love this team.
