Arsenal Academy Graduate

This hurts.

Sophie's POV

After winning the group and going up against Norway in the quarters, we've reached the semi final. We've been prepping for this for the past few days and we're so ready for this. More ready than ever. We'll be playing against the Netherlands today and we know how much it's going to take to win.

Since the first game, Anna and I have been looking after Conrad. There's been loads of talks about us looking to adopt him but I'm not sure we're at that stage of our relationship yet. He's an amazing boy though and we love looking after him.

It's currently 7am and breakfast is at 8am, I've woken up early so I can go and see Anna and Conrad before then. Beth isn't awake yet but I made sure to set and alarm for her and place a note on the table to let her know that I've gone to see Anna.

After getting changed into the tracksuit, I made my way to the room. Before knocking, I could hear Conrad crying so that worried me. I knocked the door and Anna opened it and she looked worried.

Sophie: What's wrong with him?

Anna: He's got a fever and he's been sick.

Sophie: How long has he been like this for?

Anna: Since he woke up. I didn't know what to do.

Sophie: Don't worry my love. Let's go take him to the medics to see what we should do.

I picked Conrad up and all three of us started making our way to the medic room. He couldn't stop crying. It's painful to see, especially when you can't do anything to help. After 5 minutes, we arrived at the room and knocked on it quietly. The medic opened up and asked what was wrong and Anna started explaining. The medic said that she'll go and take him to the hospital as we need to stay here.

It pained us both to leave him in the way he was but we knew it was best to let him go to hospital. For his safety and our safety too. Anna immediately pulled me into a hug and we just held eachother.

Anna: He'll be okay. We'll do this for him okay.

Sophie: I'm just scared.

Anna: And I'm scared too. We just need to think positively okay.

Sophie: Okay. Let's go down for breakfast.

We made our way down to breakfast and everyone was sitting down on the tables at this point. They clearly heard what had happened and they all came to give Anna and i a hug. Lotte, Leah, Jord and Beth was the people who was the most effected by this and you can see why.

Commentary

Good evening and welcome to tonight's semi final match between England and the Netherlands. Let's look at the teams starting line ups.

First half

12' Van de Donk hits it from distance and scores. 1-0 to the Netherlands. Bad pass from Roebuck.

36' Williamson passes to Nobbs. She drives into the space and takes a shot. WHAT A HIT. 1-1. Jordan and Leah linking home once again for England.

42' Miedema receives the ball and shoots. The ball hits the post and goes out for a goal kick.
