Sophie's POV
It was finally the day of the semi final. I have mixed emotions for today, Anna and Jill are reuniting and I just don't like the feeling of them being together again. Jill's recently broke up with her girlfriend so I'm scared that Jill and Anna are going to rekindle things. Anyways, i start to get ready to head to the training ground so we can head to our home pitch for the second leg. It's currently 3-1 to Man City so we need to score atleast 2 goals to be equal to them. We cannot concede at all tonight.
Anna and I are not really talking right now, but when we do talk we argue about Jill and Lindsey. She's moved in with Lotte and her boyfriend so now I'm living alone. I haven't been training the best because Anna's always on my mind. She's what I want, but I don't think that she feels the same anymore which sucks.
I head into my car and make my way to the training ground, I had to pick up Beth on the way so I left a little early. It's a cold but rainy night so it'll be an interesting game. I arrive at Beth's house and she hops into the car.
Beth: Hey Soph, thanks for picking me up!
Sophie: No worries at all. Can I ask you something?
Beth: Of course you can, I'm all ears.
Sophie: So the other night Anna was sleeping and her phone kept going off, i went over to see who it was and it was Jill. She basically was saying how she missed her and couldn't wait to see her today. We have been arguing non stop for the past week, what do I do?
Beth: Daan and I went through the same thing at the start of our relationship. I mean probably not as bad as this but you'll get through it. Just keep showing her how much she means to you.
Sophie: Okay thank you Beth. She's just accusing me and Lindsey of flirting yet she's over here saying to her ex how much she misses her. I just don't want to lose her.
Beth: You won't lose her. She loves you. Yeah I did hear about the rumours with you and Lindsey but I feel like it's a one way thing. Only she likes you, and you love Anna. I believe you.
We arrive at the training ground and i park up next to Lindsey and Emily. Beth went out of the car to see Jord and Leah and i was left on my own so Lindsey came into the car to sit down.
Lindsey: Hey what's up? You haven't been on top of it in training, are you okay?
Sophie: Hi Linds, it's just Anna and I are having disagreements and stuff so it's hard to focus on training right now. Jill's coming to the game tonight, they'll be together through the whole night and i don't like the thought of them together again.
(Lindsey hugs me)
Lindsey: Listen to me. I know you love her a lot but you just can't think of her right now. We've got a semi final to play and you're too busy thinking about some girl who doesn't even love you right now. Cmon Soph, you're better than that!
Sophie: You have no right to say that. Get out of my car right now.
Lindsey: I didn't mean it in that way. But I'll leave, see you in the changing rooms. I'm here for you.
She walks out of the car. Although I should be mad at Lindsey right now for what she said, I can't help but believe what she's saying. Maybe she's right, maybe Anna doesn't love me anymore. Maybe I should start to worry less about her. I hate feeling so vulnerable like this. That girl is my world and I'm not ready to lose her to someone who didn't even treat her right the first time they had something.
After a while sitting in the car, i head into the main building so I could get ready to head on the bus with the girls. Leah greets me with a little hug as she can see I've been crying. I hold her close and she tells me " She loves you. Stop overthinking it. Go out and win 2 things tonight. This semi final and your girl. I love you Soph. You've got this." I thank her and we head into the huddle with the girls.
We all head onto the bus and make our way to our home pitch. Me, Lisa, Viv and Beth are on a four seater, while they talk about random things, I'm sat here listening to the playlist Anna had made me. It was a playlist we always listened to on our journeys to the game. It was the only thing that felt right to do right now. I can't wait to see her.
