A Little Bit of Time

A Big Surprise

I woke up in Derek's tight embrace. His hold on me was tight as though he was protecting me yet gentle as though I would break. I looked up at his face only to realize he was already awake and smiling at me. I smiled back and leaned up to kiss him. Our kiss was short yet full of love and passion.
" I have to get home soon because I have to work today."
" I'll drive you if you want me to." Derek offered.
" I'd like that."
" Good because I was going to anyways." As soon as he said that I laughed. After I was dressed I went up the steps and got into his car considering he was already in the car. About twenty minutes later we arrived at my house only to see that a car was parked in the drive way. As soon as I got a closer look at the car I realized it was my dad's car. I jumped out of the car in excitement and ran up the steps. As soon as I flung the front door open I called out for my dad.
" Dad!"
" Hey honey," my dad said with a smile on his face. I jumped on him and hugged him.
" I missed you!"
" I missed you too baby." But right when he said that he noticed Derek. I expected my dad to interrogate him but instead he put me down and smiled at Derek.
" Derek it's so great to see you again you know your parents said you two would end up getting together in the future and would you look at that you're together." my dad said overly excited.
" Wait you know Derek?"
" Yeah your mother and I were close to his parents. And when we introduced you two you both were inseparable. If anyone hurt you Derek would growl at them."
" So you know that Derek is a werewolf then?"
" Yes I do your mother, this may come to a shock to you, but she's a werewolf and so was your brother."
" But wasn't he bit?"
" He thought he was but he wasn't it he was born a werewolf."
" Then why am I not a werewolf?"
" You didn't get the gene I guess my gene was stronger for you."
" Oh, well I have to go get ready for work but I'll see you tonight oh and I'm cooking and Derek."
" Yeah?"
" You're coming."
" Okay."
