After opening the book you started to read silently. You felt eyes on your face. Pausing, you looked up and over. "Can I help you?" You sighed.

Levi looked away, opening his book, "What is going on with you and Kirstein?" He sipped his tea.

"Jean? Nothing." You shrugged. All he did was ask you to hang out.

"It didn't seem that way." He pushed.

"He's a friend." You put your book down. "Why is that any of your concern?" You looked at him, annoyed, eyebrows furrowed.

Before you could blink, Levi had you by the throat, standing over you in your seat, his other hand held his teacup. "What the hell!?" You gasped.

He tightened his grip, "What did I tell you about that attitude, Cadet?" Your hands moved to his arm, trying to pull  him off. He noticed your struggle "Calm down." He gave you a shake by the neck, still not letting go. "I said calm down."

You left your hands wrapped around his forearm, trying to calm yourself the struggle slowed, you looked up at him, still struggling to breath properly. Your eyes met his as he looked down on you. Levi's icy grey eyes were full of what looked like anger and frustration. Your heart started beating faster. Fuck. What is with this feeling again..  Your face flushed, more noticeably with the candle light being so close. You tried to speak though I just came out as a small whimper.

Levi scoffed, letting go of your neck "Annoying Brat." He sat back down, turning to his book, starting to read.

Coughing, you rubbed your neck. Trying to breathe normally again. Turning to face your book you pressed your legs together. Why did that do it for you. Staring at your book you started to slowly realize that you found the Corporal, a man that seemed to not like you at all, very attractive. Looking at him out the side of your eye, you saw him reading, sipping his tea occasionally.

You looked at the time, 3:00am. You guys had an exposition with Hange's Squad after breakfast. You decided to stop focusing on Levi, stop focusing on the time and just read your book.

------------

You heard the door to the mess hall open, it was Mikasa, Eren, Jean and Armin, followed by a few other people you didn't know. You looked at the clock 6:00am. You looked over at Levi, who was focused on his book.

All your friends went and sat at their usual spot, you never noticed but you were at the squad Captains table. "Shit." You mumbled and got up, grabbing your book and filling your teacup up before you left.

"See you tonight." Levi said quietly, without emotion. I guess this book club was going to be a regular thing.

Sitting down at the table everyone watched you. "Sorry guys I was up early, thought someone might be here before breakfast." You lied. Mikasa shot you a look, as if she wanted to say something.

Everyone prepared for the exposition. It was a rescue effort. There was a some kind of disaster in a nearby village. Houses were destroyed, people were missing. It was all very suspicious. You stood next to your squad and tightened the saddle on your horse before getting on and waiting for the signal.

Once the signal was given, Levi's squad went left, Hange's went right. Both routs to this place would be explored for survivors or Titans, even though no Titans were spotted, it looked like they were responsible.

A few kilometers from the city it started to rain. Slow at first, then slowly getting more and more dense. The group was still holding together well. The town was a three hour ride, so far it had only been about 40 minutes.

*One hour later*

The rain formed a thick blanket of moisture that constantly covered the squad. Visibility was minimal. At one point you lost sight of everyone. You could see the tree line you rode along, and the tail end of your comrades horses.

You were in though when without warning your horse reared, causing you to fall backward off the horse. "Fuck!" You yelled into the downpour.

Getting up off the muddy wet ground, you looked about for your horse. Bringing your fingers to your mouth you whistled. It was no use. You doubted anyone could hear it. "Shit! What am I suppose to do now." You said aloud to yourself before walking over to the treeline. You figured that you would wait for them on there way back. You didn't even have your ODM gear equipped.

As you sat between two big trees, out of the storm, you saw a figure approaching. You stood up. "Well if it isn't my favorite Captain!" You said sarcastically while waving.

Levi dismounted his horse and walked over to you "L/n what the hell was that?!" He gestured to the rain.

"My horse kicked me off!" You told him. "Then it ran away."

"You've got to be kidding me." He sighed, looking out to the rain. As he went to reach for his horse, a crack of lightning rang through the sky, causing his horse to also flee. "DAMN IT!" He shouted, looking back at you.

"Yeah just like that." You nodded and pointed at the horse running away.

He walked up to you, getting in your face "Why are you such a smartass?!" He yelled over the rain.

"Just trying to lighten the mood, Sir!" You said loudly back.

He scowled before looking away, walking over to lean against a tree. "We are stuck here until someone comes back for us or the rain let's up."

"Yeah I thought so." You sighed.  Going to lean against the tree across from him you started laughing.

Looking up, his hair was dripping wet- weighed down, eyes angry, disposition was cold. "What?." He growled.

"You..just.. look like" you said between laughs. "An angry kitten!.." you wheezed "That has been... Caught in the rain!!!" You couldn't stop laughing.

Levi rolled his eyes. "Do you ever stop talking." You continued laughing, ignoring his comment.

"You are such an ass." You giggled quietly, looking out into the rain.

When you turned your head back, you saw Levi standing infront of you. "What was that?" He looked down at you.

Sighing, you realized you couldn't lie, he obviously heard you. "I called you an ass, Sir."

"Your next day off you're cleaning the Mess Hall. He said simply before starting to turn and walk way.

"C'mon, Corporal I have plans with Jean that day." You whined. He paused mid rotation, turning back to you

Levi got in your face again, "I thought nothing was going on with you and Jean?" He questioned.

"There isn't." You insisted. "Even if there was it's not like that should matter to you!" You yelled in his face. Partially trying to get a rise out of him.

He grabbed you by the chest harness, pulling you up to his eye level. "It doesn't." He said through his teeth, tightening his grip. Your shirt was caught in his fist also, three of the buttons popped off.

"Captain what the fuck." You barked.

His eyes trailed down, realizing he could see into your shirt, exposing your black bra. He grunted before letting you go, maintaining his place infront of you. Your back was pressed against the tree. "I apologise." He forced out.

You looked down. The last button popped off right below your bra line, which meant you were slightly exposed. Face pink, you grabbed each side of your shirt and pulled it closed.
