The door swung open and Levi walked in with intention. "L/n, are you-" he was holding a small kit that you assumed had painkillers in it. Seeing Jean holding, his eyes turned dark, his disposition stiffened.

Jean had a look of pure, undeniable fear, "Captain, I-I-I-" he stuttered, trying to find words to explain.

As Jean's panic set in, his grip on you subconsciously tightened "Fuck Jean that hurts." You winced.

"Put. Her. Down." Levi said slowly, words laced with anger.

Carefully Jean set you down on the bed, before he could straighten up Levi had him by the throat, starting to squeeze. "I should-" Levi started a threat.

"Don't hurt him!" You called, genuinely fearing for your friends health. "This was all a misunderstanding! Please, Captain"

Levi gritted his teeth, knowing he couldn't go against your request. He forced himself to slowly open his hand, allowing Jean to slip away, before hissing "Get out."

Jean did not hesitate, he turned and ran from the room, faster than you've ever seen him move.

Levi walked over to the door, slamming it shit with a noise that you swear echoed through the entire building. His hand balling into a fist on the stained wood.

"What is with you?" You asked him. He was always so calm, so in control. You've never seen him act out in pure anger.

"What's with ME?" He sneered. "I don't take orders from YOU."

"I wasn't giving you an order.. you looked like you were going to KILL him!" You said loudly.

"I should have!" He yelled before taking a breath to calm himself. Trying to clear all the thoughts of how he was going to hurt Jean. Levi looked over to you then up at the ceiling, covering his eyes with his hand, using his thumb to rub his temple. "What's wrong with me?" He muttered under his breath.

After a minute of awkward silence he approached you, pulling his chair up to sit next to the bed. "Arm." He held a hand out.

You complied, giving him your arm. When his hand made contact the coldness of his skin surprised you, How hadn't noticed it before. "Why?" You asked.

Without answering you he pulled a syringe out of the kit alongside a clear liquid. "Painkillers." He filled the syringe.

You let out a small squeak as you saw the size of the needle, moving your gaze to the clock in an effort to get your mind off it. 9:00pm. You felt the sting as the needle penetrated your skin, follows by the warm burning of the liquid flowing into your veins.

Levi started to talk, it was all just a blurry mumble to you, your eyes closed as you fell asleep.

Opening your eye, everything was dark aside from the low glow the candle on the desk let fill the room. You looked at the clock. 2:00am. As usual.. you thought to yourself. The dryness of your mouth hit you. You were parched. Glancing to your glass you noticed it was empty. Awesome. You thought sarcastically. You sat up, surprised that you felt no pain. Glancing down you noticed that your shirt was buttoned back up.

You noticed Levi, sitting upright, asleep in the chair that occupied the corner. You quietly swung your legs over the side of the bed. Grabbing the glass, you went to the washroom to get some water.

Looking in the mirror you cringed. Your hair was a disaster, running your fingers through it, in an attempt to tame the nest, you threw it in a braid.

After filling your glass you stepped out of the washroom, walking carefully; not wanting to wake Levi or move so fast and further your injury.

Almost at the bed you heard a voice "You could have asked for help."

Turning you saw Levi, sitting there awake. "Sorry, did I wake you?" You asked, sitting down.

He shook his head no before getting up, walking over and pulling his chair up close to sit by the bed. "How are you feeling?"

"No pain" you sipped the water. Turning your head you looked out the window at the night sky.

You felt a cold sensation on your neck as Levi's icy fingertips brushed over the mark he gave you, lingering at your neck. Looking back to him you found his face inches away from yours. He looked into your eyes, with his free hand he took the glass of water from you, setting it on the table next to the bed. "What are you doing..?" You whispered.

Levi brought his face closer, ignoring your question. His lips brushed yours, causing your face to flush. "I'm not.. I'm not fighting this" he mumbled before letting his lips meet your completely, hesitating once contact was made, giving you a chance to pull away if you wanted to.

Bringing a hand up to his cheek, you kissed him back, letting his tongue enter your mouth. You moved your hand to his hair, deepening the kiss. He gently leaned into you, pushing your body into the mountain of pillows at your back.

In this moment there was no rain to buffer your senses, you could feel his hand lightly run over the left side of your waist, you could smell his cologne. It was intoxicating.

He broke away from the kiss, keeping his face close he watched your reaction. You could feel the heat on your face and your heartbeat pick up; holding your gaze he moved his hand to unbutton the top few buttons of your shirt before sliding his hand in. Exploring your breasts.

You could feel a warm sensation running through your body, you pressed your legs together. Levi seemed to take amusement from your reaction. He pulled his hand away, moving close to your ear, "Don't get too worked up, y/n, you'll hurt yourself." Your heart swooned at the sound of your name in his mouth. It was the first time he called you by your first name.

He got up, moving over to the dresser he shuffled through until he found a large shirt. "Here.." he passed it to you. "I'll get your clothes washed for you."

You blinked, taking the shirt, proceeding to unbutton what was left on the one you were wearing. Attempting to slide your right arm out you cringed. The pain was returning.

Watching this, Levi walked over, helping you out of the shirt. Making an effort to avoid staring at your body, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. Kneeling down, he slowly unbuttoned your pants, slipping them off your hips, then helping you into the clean shirt that came down to your mid thigh.

There was a comfortable silence through out the process as your name in his voice echoed in your head. "Now get some sleep." He ordered, preparing more painkiller for you. "Unfortunately this is all the infirmary had, I'm having some pills sent so you won't need to put up with the needle for long."
