Chapter 14

After chatting with will for the rest of your supper you started your walk to Levi's office. You knew that talking with will bugged the hell out of him for some reason. Maybe that's why you did it.

You approached the door and went to knock. "Come in." The muffled voice said before your hand made contact. You entered.

"You summoned me?" You said sarcastically, turning around to close the door behind you.

"Sit." He ordered. You walked over to the chair infront of his desk and took a seat.

You sat in silence for what felt like hours, he watched you with his grey eyes, studying. You squirmed a bit under his intense stare. "What do you need?" He didn't answer. You could feel frustration building. Slowly it started to bubble to the surface. "I don't know what your issue is." You crossed your arms and looked away, "first you spend time with me, almost every night, then you mark me," you felt you voice getting louder "Then you take care of me the first night that I was hurt," you were yelling now "Then you KISS me!" You grit your teeth and stood up, placing both hands down on his desk "Oh don't get me wrong, you were kind, your bedside manner was p.e.r.f.e.c.t.!" You gave your fingertips a chef's kiss "You were respectful. For one. Fucking. Night. From then on.." you started to realize you had been yelling, he just sat watching you, his stare boring into your soul. Can't stop now.. "From that night forward and for the past two months you have been cold and distant!! You don't fucking talk to me unless you absolutely have to! You have been a prick!" You blinked nervously, trying to keep your angry stance. "P.R.I.C.K!"

"Are you done?" He sighed.

"Yes-" you started.

"Are you sure? You're sure your done." He cut you off.

You crossed your arms and sat back down, looking away. "I'm done." You hummed, closing your eyes. "You were... After all the time I spent with you, you knew me better than anyone. The closest person to me next me Mikasa." You leaned your head back on the chair. "I guess I'm just drawn to the fucking Ackerman's."

You opened your eyes and brought your head up to find Levi standing infront of you, leaning back on his desk. He had his head turned, looking at his bookshelf. "I was fine watching over you from afar." He said in a low voice. "I even asked Erwin to have someone watch out for you when I knew I couldn't." He sighed.

You watched him, it looked like he was telling the truth. You bit the inside of your cheek, not sure what to say.

"I didn't know who he'd be sending. Then I saw Will and the interest he seemed to take in you." He spit Will's name out like a bad taste in his mouth. "That won't do anymore." He walked over to the bookcase and pulled down an ancient looking book, walking over to hand it to you.

Silently you took the book and opened to start reading.

The Ackerman bond used to exclusively be with the Royal Family or with a person of Royal Blood. Since abandoning that path, an Ackerman can bond with whomever their body chooses. It can be random but often has underlying determining factors....

Once an Ackerman has formed a bond, they will protect their hosts at even the cost of their own life....

You looked up from the book, closing it and placing it on the desk beside Levi. "And what does this have to do with me?"

Levi rolled his eyes. "As I told you when you hijacked my sleeping quarters, I have formed a bond with you" All the memories came flooding back. Did the painkillers make you forget?

Levi looked at you in your confusion. "My distance from you was in an effort to protect you. I got a too that Kenny was spotted long before our mission with Eren and Historia. I didn't know what he wanted or if you would be in danger." He looked down at you sitting in the chair, still unsure of how to respond. "I also needed to sort out the nature of the bond."

"I don't understand" you whined.

Levi clicked his younger before leaning down next to your ear. "What I'm saying is you're mine, y/n" he hovered a moment before leaning back on the desk. "There is no need for Will to watch over you anymore."

"Wait..wha- I.. I'm what?" You sputtered out, rather flustered by the use of your name in his mouth.

He knelt down infront of you, grabbing your chest harness and pulling you in for a kiss before you knew what was happening. Your hands hovered at your side, unsure of what to do. He broke away for a moment, you opened your mouth to speak not knowing that was his plan, he used this moment to slide his tongue into you, "Mine.." he said huskily into your mouth before pulling away and moving to your neck, your body felt lighter than it ever has and a warm feeling flooded you.

"I-I'm getting emotional whiplash from all this..." You mumbled as your mind continued to process things. You felt his lips on your neck before his teeth, biting down hard, "Ah-Ow!!" You yelped.

Levi pulled away, admiring his work on your neck "That should cause Will to fuck off." He looked pleased with himself.

Before you could say anything you heard a knock on the door. Levi walked over, opening it up as Commander Erwin walked in. You moved your collar to cover the new mark you are positive was there.

"Ah, good, y/n is here." Erwin said as he pulled a chair up to sit next to you, Levi walked around to sit behind the desk, nodding at him to proceed. "y/n, you have been doing exceptional work in the field, We are pleased to see you working so well with your team. " He smiled.

"Thank you, Sir." You folded your hands infront of you.

"I would like to promote you to second in command of the Levi squad." Erwin continued.

Your jaw fell open, you looked at Levi, then Erwin. "W-what about Mikasa, she would be a much better fit than me, sir."

"Mikasa has no desire to climb the ranks. A few months ago I was informed of your relationship with Corporal Levi, this should help you exceed in the role." Erwin looked at Levi, who was unphased by the conversation that suddenly became very embarrassing to you.

"Thank you Sir, I will do my best." You forced a smile. How does everyone but me know about a relationship I'm supposedly in. You thought. Erwin thanked you both for your time and excused himself.

"Relationship?" You raised an eyebrow at him "Hiw long have I been in a fucking relationship?"

Levi ignored your question. You got up to leave, done with the events of today. As you reached for the door Levi caught your wrist, spinning you around. "you can't say you don't feel the connection when we make contact." He watched his hand as his fingertips trailed down your cheek to your collarbone.

"I don't know what I feel!" You almost yelled "You are hot, then cold. Affectionate then distant. How am I suppose to know what to feel..?" You trailed off looking at the floor.

Levi put a hand on your waist "From now on, I will spend as much time as I can by your side. Kenny is dead. There is no threat that's stopping me anymore."

"Do I have a choice?" You groaned

"No."
