A small second of having an icy feeling in her forehead, Kallumi broke out from her trance and looked up immediately to see Elmira.

What is she doing here? It's night time, she should be asleep. Is she okay?

Her doe eyes focused on Elmira's Snake-like ones, Elmira just smiled and sat on the bench beside Kallumi and offered her a cold chocolate milk.

Kallumi stared at Elmira, and then back at the milk Elmira offered. A small blush growing in Kallumi's cheek.

I want it but I don't want to say "thank you".

Elmira just sighed and rolled her eyes, giving the drink to Kallumi. Kallumi pursed her lips and took the beverage from Elmira's hands.

After that, an awkward silence lingered in the air, it could even seem like a cricket just chirpped out of nowhere.

the only sounds that can be heard, was the awkward slurping of Kallumi's straw.

Why is she here? Does she also get fake scenarious at night?

Then again, Kallumi is too stubborn to ask her. Elmira tapped her foot on the ground after every second, waiting for the right time to talk.

"You lack something." An annoying expression plastered on Elmira's face, fighting herself about how absurd her sentence was.

Kallumi knew. Kallumi knew very much that she lack something. She just didn't wanna tell anyone, she deemed it was absurd and that telling her vulnerabilities can make her look weak. Her Mother told her so.

That one simple word took Elmira's attention, she averted her eyes to Kallumi and tilted her head to let her continue.
