TW: Drugs. You know the deal: drugs are bad and you shouldn't do them. But seriously, they are really bad for you and will ruin your life. Make good decisions. Also there is death/gore in this chapter.

The second the one minute ends, I run towards the small black case. Sadly I'm not the only one. I see Audrey from district 12 running towards it, too. She's only 12 or maybe 13, but very fast. I elbow her into a fight between two older tributes. She's as good as dead now.

I still see yet another person running towards my black case. We get pretty close but at the last second, I duck. The guy who had been racing me to my black case drops dead next to me. I see a blonde from district 4 with a pack of knives.

"Thanks," I yell over my shoulder at the district 4 girl. She looks disappointed she didn't kill me, too. Another issue with Ronnie's training technique is I don't know a lot about my opponents. Thanks again, Ronnie! I grab the black cases and yank the knife from the corpse next to me. Then I bolt away from the cornucopia.

After a few hours, I start walking slower, and then not long after I stop altogether. I see a tree that is pretty tall but the limbs are low enough for me to climb. So I do climb. Once I'm high enough, I look around. There are trees as far as the eye can see, except for a small line where there is a blank patch. This is probably a body of water. To say I'm parched would be an understatement. I decided to look in the case that I risked my life for. It's not disappointing. There is a small water purifier which I don't care a lot about but will probably come in handy in the future. What I actually care about are the drugs.

Drugs are very hard to come by in the districts. The doctor rarely has any and when he does, you have to pay a lot extra for the treatment. We don't have any recreational drugs, because they're too expensive, and if you get caught with them you'll be killed. These particular drugs, however, are very common in district 10. Any other tribute might overlook them as mere poison, or even medicine. But I know better. I know that this is Botulinum.
