No, it's not that, as soon as I touched that orb everything around me was blown up, it got the objects out, but when I powered Wubbox back up he was talking to me about how I unlocked his "true" form and how he was going to eat all of the monsters as that is how he was made.

Oh yes of course! I completely forgot! According to celestial mythology Wubbox was made by eating all of the monsters of the world! I don't know how talking out all of that junk would "awaken" him though, it says nothing about that in the book.
