"I told you the few rules and gave you a friend to help you, yet you both acted so foolishly."
An extraordinary being grumbles out as his wings folded into his back, a hand on his forehead in dissapointment. A small hole closed in front of him, the bright light coming from it that shaded his face disappearing and making his face mix back with its dark surroundings.
The god sighed and walked away from his spot, portals closing one by one as its purpose was well finished and barely succesfully done. The green cape of its owner skidded down to the floor as his feet touched the same ground, flat surface being graced by it. The being turned to one thing that was left inside the room, something that was shining and lighting the black room up by a ton, making it the only warm area alongside him.
He only blinked at the new thing, eyes empty as he stares at it, knowing what it is. A scatter of messages that confirmed his thoughts about the item came by, coming from its deliverer in the first place. It made him sigh once more, fingers by both of his temples as he moved it accordingly.
Anger and dissapointment raised inside the body of the ethereal being, actions growing much faster at his frustrations before they moved back down to his sides quickly. His eyes snapped open once again, green glowing eye looking at nothing in particular in a glare that even the void seemed to falter to.
His creation was ruined by a mortal once again, but that isn't what he's mad about, is it? No. It is.
The thought was pushed away as quick as that, a grunt escaping him as he did so, even going so far as to physically push something to help him with mentally doing so. It worked briefly.
Violence was something he usually turned to when he can't get what he wants, working quite well despite what others told him about it. How they warned him of doing so even when they do it as well. Hypocrites, he'd call them. So, when he got the power of them, he'd show them just how much hypocrites deserve.
And that wasn't a lot.
Skipping a few stages of grief, however, he found himself in despair as he looked at the item again the floated over the black void, going closer to it for the first time since its arrived minutes ago. A small hum came from him as his eyes searched it, feeling guilt claw at his chest.
He sat down in front of it, following the ups and downs of the floating item as it reminds him of the crystals in the forbidden world of the end. It always was something that astounded him and this item wasn't any different even if they were two fragile souls given to him by death herself.
Although death didn't want to take these two souls, both of the powerful beings knew they couldn't risk more than already was torn open by the two mortals. If it ever came to it, other universes would be damaged by the two even without knowing it. They had to close the tear up before it even got bigger than it was.
A hand raised under the floating object, letting it hover over it as the hand went closer to its owner, the aforementioned studying it closer. The bright souls danced around around each other happily, never seperating from their pattern and close proximity. Never has XD seen souls this close and if he didn't know who they are or what happened to them, he would've been interested to even give them peace.
However, he couldn't do that to them. He couldn't do that to him. Him who's made him happier even in the slightest bit, made him realize that there was more than anger in his emotions, even made him make jokes that he found childish and went along with it. Him who he made his promise of protecting to.
Maybe it wasn't just two that failed.
The god sighed, hand lowering slightly at the thought before he looked up at the ceiling, it looking the same as the blank floor.
Everything in this room was blank, even the figure that stayed in the center of it. No matter how vibrant the creature was, its aura was barely something you'd consider happy. It was negatively feeling any emotion he's felt before, but promised he'd never show again.
And a promise he shall keep for once.
Green eyes blinked and looked down again, a hand tracing its circling halo that crossed over his face in thought. The thought in particular was nothing. There was nothing to think of. Head was empty.
Empty. Empty. Empty.
Maybe he was empty as well.
His eyes gave no emotion, like a switch turned off inside of him. It almost looked like a different being when it stood up and made the item dissapear into thin air.
A sudden holographic square appeared in its place, both hands of the God being used to press something on the square. A few certain words floated on top of the square, eyes scanning it for any mistakes before sending it off with a wave of his hand. The message dissapeared as soon as it appeared and he was left alone again in this bare world.
He thought that maybe, one day, he can find a world he can stay in. A world he can be happy inside and outside with people that adored him as, not a God, but as a friend. Just like before.
Wishful thinking never did him any good in the past. How dare he think it would work for him now? It was all just wishful thinking. Day dreaming.
How funny. The god of dreams daydreaming for something that broke him beyond repair like before. Only this time, he intends to be kept that way.
"Then again, I was foolish enough to let you go like that."
