SAMANTHA'S P.O.V.
"Samantha hurry up we are going to be late!" my mom said. My fucking mom is making our whole family go over and have dinner with the new neighbors since we all have no idea who they are.

"Okay mom calm down I'm coming!"

As I walked down the stairs in my skater skirt and new top (I know basic right) my brother was arguing with my dad about him staying home because this dinner was pointless. Sad but true but I decided to just let it go and tough it out and go without getting grounded which means I can't try and get out of it. The whole family started to walk over when I noticed I left my phone in the house. "Mom I left my phone in the house can I go get it and I'll be straight over I promise" after my mom rolls her eyes meaning she is annoyed as she told me to hurry.

SHAWN'S P.O.V.
I can't believe my mom is making us have this stupid dinner. This whole thing is stupid my parents never should have made us move from Pickering to California. My girlfriend, well ex girlfriend Lauren and I had to break up because of it. But we all knew we had to break up soon. I caught her cheating on me will my best friend but I sadly decided to let it go because they were both drunk. So the last part of our relationship was kind of bumpy.

"Shawn are you gonna help us set the table?" my dad yells from downstairs. I've been locking myself in my room because I've been pissed off that I had to leave all my friends and start over. Well for that reason and the fact that I'm vine famous. I have tons of followers because of my singing. That's right I'm vine famous for singing. "Yeah dad I'm coming" I screamed. As I was walking down the stairs the new neighbors walked in. Nobody my age just a boy that looked around 12 and his mom and dad. I went and greeted them all and sat around the table. "So do we have everyone?" my mom asks. The women who I thinks name is Shannon says "We have a daughter on the way she just left her phone behind, she should be here any minute". I became even more annoyed, great that's all I want is to have an annoying girl around fan girling like all the other ones I know. That's the worst thing about being vine famous, your either always being used or people are always asking for pictures.

The doorbell rang, I went up and answered it showing I'm annoyed.

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V.
I knocked on the door and a boy around my age answered it. "Hi my names.." he just walked away. "Well someones grumpy" I mummered to myself as I followed him to the dinner table his and my family is at. "Everyone this is my daughter Samantha but you can call her Sam" my dad says as I wave. Everyone introduces theirselves but when it came to the boy my age he didn't say anything. "Shawn will you please get off of that god damned phone for 1 minute" Karen his mom says. He just looked up and said his name, well he's rude.

I let it be I really don't care. They have a daughter a couple years younger than my brother Ryan. Her name is Aaliyah and she is extremely cute for her age, wow I wish I looked like that when I was 11 I thought.

-- After dinner--

This Shawn kid is always on his phone and I have no idea why. Our parents are all in the kitchen talking while Shawn, Ryan, Aaliyah and I are all in the living room getting to know each other. Aaliyah is really nice and interactive unlike her brother. "What could you be doing for this long to not even look up from your phone?" I ask him he just looked at me and said "Don't worry about it okay?!" he snapped. I jerked back and just rolled my eyes.

SHAWN'S P.O.V.
I didn't mean to snap at this girl Samantha, which I think her name is. I don't know and I honestly don't give a shit either. I just wanted to go to my room and get away from these people. This girl Samantha was really annoying me she was in my business and everything asking me why I'm on my phone. Whatever bitch, that's my business. I absolutely hate it when people are in my business.

RYAN'S P.O.V.

I feel so bad for Sam this kid Shawn is being a total jerk. But I don't care anymore nobody wants to be here so were all just trying to get through the rest of this night. Thank God it's Friday because arguing with my parents took to much energy for me to do my homework. I texted my mom since I thought it would be rude to ask in front of everyone when we could leave. After sitting praying that my mom would answer she did.

Me: When can we leave here?
Mom: I don't know, at most an hour, probably 30 minutes though. Why?
Me: Sam and I both don't want to be here.
Mom: 30 more minutes okay? Tell Sam to tough it up she's a big girl.
Me: But mom this Shawn kid is a jerk he won't even look up from his phone!!👿
Mom: Just like your doing now.

After I realized I was doing the same thing Shawn was I asked Aaliyah if we could play a game or something to get to know each other. Shawn just got up and went into a room. I'm guessing his room. "I'm really sorry about him, his girlfriend and him just broke up and he's being a baby about it. He also didn't want to leave his friends." Aaliyah says "It's fine I just thought we could do something to make this not as awkward" I replied. " I'm going to use the restroom" Sam says.

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V.

When I got up to use the bathroom I heard this singing it was really really really good. I peeked into a room and saw Shawn singing. Woah he's really really good, like crazy good. "What do you want?" he said " I just heard good singing and " I was cut off "Okay you can go now, I really don't care" he cut me off. " What's your problem Aaliyah just told me-" he cut me off again by raising his voice "JUST LEAVE OKAY?" I was so done with this he really thought I wanted to come to this stupid thing? " Okay I don't know what your problem is but" he tried to cut me off again but I didn't let him this time " but theres no reason at all you should be taking it out on me. You have no idea who I am and I have no idea who you are, I don't care what happened before you moved theres no reason you should be acting like a dick to my family who is trying to get to know yours." By this time he was just on his computer doing something, this really got me. I went up to his computer and at first looked at it and realized who he was from taking a glimpse of his youtube page.. Oh my God this kid is Shawn Mendes my cousins love him. But that still doesn't mean he can act like a dick. So I shut his laptop and he stood up. Him being 6'1 was very intimidating and I was honestly scared. But I knew he wouldn't do anything and if he did he would regret it with me being 5'9 and playing volleyball and all. " WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO THAT YOU BITCH" he screamed. "LOOK I KNOW YOUR NOT SOME ORDINARY KID LIKE ALL OF US BUT THERES NO REASON FOR YOU TO ACT LIKE THIS" I said starting to get frustrated. This kid is totally rude and I have no idea how he has so many fans. He looked at me like he just saw an exorcism or some shit. So I turned around and left hoping tomorrow he'd be at least a little nicer.

SHAWN'S P.O.V.

I can't believe she said that. I've never been talked to like that when someone knew who I actually was. Honestly this girl is different. After she left I was shocked, I don't know if it was all bad or had some good in the shock, but it was definitely a different shock I'm used to. This girl is starting to warm up to me for this little argument. Don't get me wrong I was really pissed about it and still am.

Their whole family left and of course I got yelled at for being a "dick" but I don't know how they expect me to be happy after this move. I just went to bed.
