Chapter 15

SHAWNS P.O.V.

I woke up and Sam was already gone. I walked downstairs and everyone was scattered around the living room asleep. So I start making breakfast considering it's only 8:00, but of course my breakfast consists of blueberry muffins and cereal. Sams tryouts started an hour ago so she won't be back for at least 2 hours. I start making the muffins when Aaliyah comes in. "Hey Aaliyah, sleep good?" I ask while I'm stirring the batter. "Yeah, but Ryan won't forgive himself for nothing. He thinks it's his fault I got hit by that car." Aaliyah tells me. "Well maybe I can walk over there later." I tell Aaliyah because I know she feels guilty for Ryan being traumatized. "I'd like that, thank you. And when is everyone leaving?" Aaliyah asked. "Uhm I think tomorrow, I'm not positive though." I told her. Aaliyah just walked away I'm guessing to wake everyone up to spend some time with them.

Everyone came walking in right after the muffins came out, great now I have to share them. Matt being the fatass he is took two muffins. I just want my muffins and Sam right now to be honest. I look at the time and it's only 8:30. Sam still won't be home for 2 and a half hours probably. This sucks. "Where's Sam?" Cam asks. "Volleyball." I gave him a short response because I do not feel like interacting with people today. "Do you all want to go to the beach?" I ask. Everyone of course screams yes. "Ok let's go get ready." I say as I walk upstairs. I get ready and wait downstairs.

Everyone finally gets ready and we all walk to the beach considering its a nice day so far. On the way I get a call from an unknown number. "Hello?" I answer. "Hello Shawn Mendes?" They ask. "Yes this is he." I respond. "We have seen some of your YouTube covers and more, and we, Island Records, would like to have a meeting with you next week in New York." They tell me, I'm completely shocked and happy. "Oh yeah that would be great thank you." I try to say cool and calm. They then hung up. "OH MY GOD GUYS GUESS WHO THAT WAS." I scream showing my excitement. "Who?" Johnson asked. "ISLAND RECORDS AND THEY WANT TO HAVE A METING WITH ME NEXT WEEK." Everyone started screaming and we had a group hug. My dream is actually coming true.

We finally got to the beach and it's already crowded. Everyone laid out their towels to lay out for a while, but Aaliyah and I aren't that boring so we went to swim in the ocean. "SHAWN COME LOOK AT THIS!" Aaliyah screamed so I ran over there and looked into the ocean. It was a jelly fish. "THATS SO COOL LOOK HOW BIG IT IS." Aaliyah kept going on showing her fascination. Then I heard her scream, it wasn't an amazed scream it was a pain scream, kind of like a whelp. "It stung me god that hurt." Aaliyah said. (I've got stung by many jellyfish before you do not need to go to the doctor, it just hurts like a bitch, so don't try to correct me thanks) I picked her up because her being 13 she has a very small tolerance for pain. "Let's go home and put some cream on that." I told Aaliyah as she was adjusting to where I was giving her a piggy back ride.

"We're gonna walk home Aaliyah got stung by a jellyfish." I told the guys. They all just said ok. As we were walking home Aaliyah didn't seem to be herself. "What's wrong sis?" I asked her. "I just feel bad for traumatizing Ryan like that." She responded "well I'm gonna go talk to him after I put cream on your leg." I told her, "he'll be fine" I reassured her.

We finally got home and I sat her on the kitchen counter. Then I went up and got the cream. I ran back downstairs and Aaliyah was on her phone. "Whatcha looking at?" I asked her while rubbing the cream on. "Just Twitter, your fans are the best Shawn, your lucky to have them all." She told me. "I know, I love them all, but why do you say that?" I asked her because what she said was kind of random. She just showed me her phone and #Aaliyahsafighter was trending. "Well their not wrong." I told her. "You fought out of that coma. And you kicked it's ass." Aaliyah just looked at me and smiled. I finished up and helped her off the counter. "Now go talk to Ryan for me bud" she told me. "Okay I'll be back soon I love you." I told her. "I love you to." She replied as I walked out the door.
