"i can't believe u guys did this for me" dalton chuckled, taking a sip of his cooler while surrounded by dakota, ariana, and a few of ariana's friends in a table at the corner of the lounge. on her free night in oslo before her concert, ariana pulled her friends, her crew, her dancers, and her stylists to book, revamp, and glam a private lounge on the outskirts of the city. the look of absolute surprise and shock on dalton's face was worth everything for ariana. "you really didn't have to."
"you're one of us now." courtney chimed, grabbing another spring roll for herself, and winked at dalton's direction. "of course we did."
ariana chuckled while gently nudging dalton's shoulder. "she's right."
smiling, dalton turned to his brother. "i had no idea you were even capable of planning." he teased, nudging a heart laugh out of his brother. "you never planned a damn thing in your life!"
"well, i had lots of help with this one." dakota remarked, glancing over at ariana. "this wouldn't have been possible without her."
"he's right." brian commented, taking a bite of his vegan chicken wing. "none of this would've gotten done if it hadn't been for her."
dalton's eyes gravitated towards ariana, as he offered her the most sincere and sweet smile - melting her heart as a result. a moment later, he raised his cooler into the air. "to ari. thank you."
more glasses in the air followed suit; brian, scott, courtney, dakota and ariana herself raised their glasses for the toast. it had been dalton's birthday, but it was the generosity of the petit woman with a heart as big as the globe that truly moved the whole table. "to ari!"
"yo, get off of your lazy asses and come sing karaoke!" doug screamed moments after the toast, causing an eruption of laughter as everyone scrammed to take their sips of drinks.
"let's go!" ariana exclaimed, he trying out of her seat with everybody following suit.
