Chapter 135: Mordred vs Akito

[Avalon Kingdom, Aqua Force Main Dormitory House, Sparring Ground]

With Mordred's invitation both Shun and Akito really didn't mind it that much at all on fighting agaisnt one of the members of the elite force in this kingdom

In fact in reality it was quite an honor for them since the the Aqua Force, the Elite warriors of this kingdom held much and extraordinary prestige all over the kingdom, much less to the surrounding countries

Its quite rare for a certain member of such an elite force to take a certain interest towards an individual, much less a student from another kingdom, due to that both Shun and Akito wasn't against Mordred's idea of sparring

Unfortunately they can't gave in just like that for their pride and the reputation of their home country, after all if they ever accepted a challenge from a foreign opponent, they would then not only represent their household and Academy, but they would also represent their home country

With such reason Akito suggested that they should do a simple 1 v 1 if ever they would spar agaisnt each other, of course for Mordred such a suggestion was acceptable as long as she could atleast fight them, after all she too has her own share of curiosity towards this so called promising geniuses of another country

Taking that in mind they then switched out towards another place at the back of their dormitory house and decided to spar on a evenly ground

Naturally both Sephiria and Iris were shocked by this sudden development, nevertheless when it came to fighting, they were confident enough towards the skill of their companions, especially on the case for Iris since she saw just how promising Akito was the first time she met him

Moving at that certain place both Akito and Mordred then came face to face on opposite sides, as both contenders started checking their equipments for their match

Nonetheless to share the sense of realism in such match, both agreed to use real weapons in this sparring match up, due to that everyone then became alert as they observe the match carefully for any contingencies that may arise that will lead to a certain death

One prepared person of all was Diva, as she could use her ability to heal the wounds of others and calm one's mind, thus she really need to be on alert in any case needed

As for Shun himself, he then threw himself in between discussion as he asked Merlin and Lionel who was standing just outside the ring range

"I can't believe they are using real weapons, aren't they afraid that they may accidentally cause another person's death if anything goes wrong?" Asks Shun

Hearing that Merlin simply chuckled as he replied with one eye peeking towards Shun's direction

"Dont worry about that! Aside from the two noble ladies namely Sephiria and Iris, im pretty sure everyone else is professional enough to step in when needed right?"

"He's right! If push comes to shove, we could just intervene at the exact moment, don't worry about anyone's safety, as long as Diva is around, everyone can be healed in a snap" said Lionel as he crossed his arms around his front and raised his chin

"It's much better if one can fight it all out without worrying about anything right?" Asked Merlin with a smile

Seeing that Shun simply replied with a nod as he gave out a dry laugh before shifting his focus towards the match

Inside the ring both Mordred and Akito were already on a stance as they both readied themselves for the signal of the match

Upon Diva's signal flare, Mordred immediately made the first move as she stepped forward followed by a quick dash towards Akito

With a smile on her face she then raises her sword unto the air as she slashed it down in brute force causing shockwaves to erupt from her attack

Seeing that Akito stayed calm as he swiftly dodged to the side while holding unto the hilt of his sword and awaits for the perfect chance to strike back

Naturally Mordred quickly made her next move upon seeing that her first attack had missed and quickly pulled up an upward slash followed by side swing

With that Akito was then forced to jump away to safety as he raises his sword vertically to block Mordred's third strike

But that didn't end it at all as Mordred took another huge step forwards towards him as she swung her sword horizontally across him with an impactful strength

But due to that her balance was tipped off in that moment causing Akito to quickly seize the chance after he crouched down from dodging Mordred's attack

Holding unto his hilt, he then swung his sword freely towards the gap in Mordred's armor only to hear a crisp sound of metal colliding each other

Upon hearing that Akito was then immediately alarmed by that sound as he recognize that sudden crisp as metal

"Chain Mail!"

In that sudden moment Mordred then Coincidentally didn't alter her movement as she followed her own momentum and spun around, before dealing a decisive upper slash

Unfortunately Akito was able to react fast enough to dodge Mordred's attack by a hair's breath as he arched his back backwards to a certain degree before leaving off from his position

Seeing that Lionel couldn't help but somehow be slightly amazed by Akito's reaction speed that the latter just demonstrated

"He's not bad! Actually he did get the timing for his counter at the right moment, that kind of a chance attack may be lethal to any normal or average fighter, unfortunately Mordred... she's a battle junkie who fight with her sword in a unorthodox way"

"In fact Mordred is not to be the one to be messed with, after all she has full grasp of her weakness, thus she make it up with an extensive preparation and counter for every situation... the chain mail you saw and the counter that she did executed is one of them" added Merlin

Hearing that Shun was slightly amazed by that kind of preparation, especially from Mordred, after all he never knew that the cheerful girl he met this early morning would be this prepared for anything

With that Shun just simply nodded as he continued on to watch the match

At this instant Akito repositioned his footing as he pointed his sword towards Mordred, before charging out towards her

Seeing that Mordred happily dashed off once more as she zoomed straight towards Akito's direction while holding her sword in a lower position

In just a few moment both Akito's sword and Mordred's sword begun clashing against each other as they exchanged blows per second

In fact due to how fast they are, which much regard to their own reaction speed, their attacks then begun to turn blurry as they exchanged 10 strikes in just mere seconds

But as if not letting being done in, Akito then swiftly dodged Mordred's thrust as she slid to the side and deliver a quick upward slash with his sword(katana)

Unfortunately due to the armor that Mordred wore, such an attack was futile against it, causing Akito to clicked his tongue in dismay

On the other hand Mordred was somehow getting excited by the very second as they exchanged swords

"Let's keep this up! Akito! Show me  your skills"
