Chapter 167: Two vs Two

[Kingdom of Avalon]

As the Kingdom's forces started to push back the attacking force, together with some traveling good willed adventurer's available in the city, both Captain Kalego and Akito on the other hand was pre=occupied on keeping the leader of the attacking force in check

For Captain Kalego just having the enemy bypass him once was already a shame incomparable to words alone, on the other hand Akito just really wanted to beat up the guy who beaten up the crown prince of his currently home country and acquaintance of Shun himself

An acquaintance of his acquaintance, is also an acquaintance for him, thus he was really offended for the fact that Cedric was beaten up

After such a harsh bombardment done by Captain Kalego's magic, Adelfried on the other hand slowly stood up from the rubbles around him and slowly wiped away the dirt and blood that spilled all over his face, seemingly coming from one of his injuries that opened up, but before he could utter another word, Adelfried himself then sneakily pulled out a bottle of potion from one of his space pocket and drank all of its content which instantly healed all of his wounds

As the wound around his body healed in a speed visible to the eye, both Captain Kalego and Akito was stunned for a moment until their expressions suddenly turned grim as they realized that they were back to square one with all of Adelfried's injury was healed

The reason why they haven't been able to stop Adelfried from  healing himself, is because after the bombardment, the whole place was totally filled with cloud dust and smoke which intervenes their vision on their surroundings and make it hard for them to locate their target for a few seconds (much like a mist), and by the time they were aware of Adelfried's movement, it was all already too late

"This is bad! Really bad! Hey youngster! Don't let your guard down" said Captain Kalego as he pulled out a sword from his sheath on his left and a magic gun from his interdimensionary space pocket on his right

Upon hearing Captain Kalego's warning, Akito then once again stance once more as he prepared to launch himself forward at the right moment at the right time

"You don't have to tell me twice"

As both Captain Kalego and Akito were preparing themselves for an attack, Adelfried on the other hand stood up confidently as he said

"Both of you are quite a troublesome opponent! if it  haven't been for you guys interrupting my goal, I would've  killed the whole royal family of the two kingdom's by now... so annoying! If only the two of you didn't exist"

"...."

"...."

"Not speaking eh? fine! both of you guys are so troublesome anyway, I should just get rid of you! Yes! I'll kill both of you! I'll kill the both of you!

As Adelfried said those words, black red mana then suddenly whirled around both of his sickles on his left and right and threw multiple slashing projectile towards them with no hesitation at all, following that amidst the initial attack that he did, Adelfried also squeeze in between some sneaky magic shot of his own in an attempt to catch them off guard

Just like he expected the moment Captain Kalego started defending himself from the projectiles flying towards him, some unknown sneaky attacks then successfully hit him on his arms and legs causing him to writhe in pain and saw some projectile all heading towards his head

But before such projectiles could hit him, Akito then instantly came in between them as he swept up his sword just in time to parry all of the projectiles with his own slashing attack

"Tomura's Third offensive sword form Ken no Nami (Sword Wave)

With all the projectiles destroyed in one wave slash, Akito then rushed out towards Adelfried as the latter also rushed up towards his own opponent in the same beat

In just a few milliseconds both Akito and Adelfried then clashed once more as the both of them strikes with an initial powerful blow of their own

""Critical Strike!!!"

"Tomura's First offensive sword form Wansutoraiku (One strike)" 

As both of their Attacks clashing against each other hard on without letting up at all, btoh ofd them pull back at the same time as they attacked once more but this time relying more unto speed and preciseness of their attack

"Wild Frenzy!!!"

"Tomura's Fourth offensive sword form 23-Pon no hakai no ken (23 swords of destruction)"

For the second time they were both flung away b y the force of their attack, as they landed unto the ground at the same time and charged once more at the same beat and hacking away their weapons at each other

"Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! DIE!!!!!!"

"Tch!!!"

As Adelfried cursed out loud toward Akito to just die already, the person himself on the other hand felt annoyed towards Adelfried's constant shouting as he tried his best to keep up to his speed of attacks, but nevertheless he still found it troublesome that Adelfried's attacking speed was rising by the second which slowly overwhelms him bit by bit

Luckily for him he wasn't alone as Captain Kalego quickly inserted himself in between and started bombarding his cannons once more towards Adelfried himself, forcing the latter to quickly back away and block the attacks with his magic barrier

During that process Adelfried started backing away amidst the bombardment as he plans to slip pass them and go towards his target of attack, unfortunately Akito saw through his motives and cut his path in and quickly delivered an attack which destroyed his barrier

"Tomura's Second offensive sword form Takai kinchō (High Strung)" 

With his barrier broken, Adelfried's raged once more as a shadow suddenly dropped from the sky and struck down its weapon towards Akito, who was only fast enough to block that surprise attack with his own

Having Akito been sent away with one strike, Adelfried then immediately recognized the newly arrived person as he suddenly smile back towards it and said

"Looks like you've arrived, Asmodeus"

In that very moment Asmodeus revealed a wide smile of his own as he held up his sycthe on his shoulder and answered back

"Hah! I'm done on my end"
