Chapter 165: Akito VS Adelfried

[Kingdom of Avalon]

With Cedric being down for the count, Akito then bravely stood in front of the person himself as he glared his darting eyes towards Adelfried, seemingly the perpetrator of the chaos that is currently happening in the kingdom

As for how he got this far inside the castle without alerting any people that are doing battle around, it can just be said that such a thing was a trade secret of his own, and with a sharp gaze, he then slowly hover his hand over the handle of his sword, as his feet started stancing themselves to make a sudden instantaneous movement 

Unknown to the preparations that Akito had made, Adelfried simply rotated his staff in front of him once more as he casted out 6 magic circles out of thin air and directed his magic towards the newly arrived opponent before him without even sparing a single word 

"Sixto Vigas!!!"

In an instant Adelfried sent out six  beams towards Akito's location, completely bombarding the ground and forcing the latter himself to quickly pick up Cedric from the ground and dash away to dodge Adelfried's attack

Seeing his target completely dodging his bombardment,  Adelfried then didn't let up at all as he casted additional three magic circles beside him and threw them towards Akito

"Perno guía!!!!"

Sensing another attack coming their way, Akito then took a sharp turn to the right in an attempt to dodge the incoming attack, but despite him having dodged the magic shots that Adelfried's had released, he then saw the magic shots themselves curving in the air and turned towards his direction

Upon noticing that the attack was some kind of a homing spell, Akito then casually kept his clam in this kind of tense situation as he tried his best to out maneuver such an attack

 He tried zigzag, sliding, overhead jump, dodging, and even avoiding it by a hair's breath to make it unexpectedly self destruct on its own  , but no matter what he do the magic shot doesn't seem to want to let him go at all and continuously harassing him by unexpectedly altering it's course too, which then soon trapped Akito  on a corner with his back against the wall

Realizing that he was trapped with nowhere else to go, Cedric then initiatively pulled himself away as he erected a barrier around himself as if telling Akito that he can protect himself

Seeing Cedric taking the initiative to lift the burden off of him, Akito simply smiled back as he nudged open his sword from his sheath and directed a strike which instantly destroyed all the magic shots that were aimed at him

"Tomura's Third offensive sword form Ken no Nami 10x (Sword Wave)"

Sending out multiple sword waves towards the magic shots that were aimed at him, Akito was then able to fully destroy the attack even before it arrived, a true practitioner move which depicts "using offense, to defend yourself"

Seeing that his attack had failed to hit it's target, Adelfried naturally clicked his tongue in disappointment as he started casting another round of spells for his assault, but before he can fully cast out his spell, Akito on the other hand took a deep breath as he sheathed his word and suddenly bursted out in an immense speed and directly heading towards Adelfried himself, by the use of small blown away stones in the air as his momentarily foothold

Dashing towards him and arriving to his location beside him in a speed of light, Adelfried was then completely caught off guard as he quickly cancelled his initial spell and and used his staff to defend his side, but before he could fully enact such an action, Akito was then able to take this slight delay and slashed him away with full force

In a single slash Adelfried was then blown away by the force as he crashed unto the wall and drop to the ground, but since Adelfried was prepared to be blown away, he somehow minimized the damage done to him as he quickly got up on his feet and started defending himself from Akito';s follow up sword attack

As both Staff and Sword clashed against each other, with both having professional and abundant experience in using their weapon, they were both able to block each other attacks, while trying to find some way to deal damage on each other

While the fight between Adelfried and Akito was getting more intense by the passing second, they then soon broke out of the room as they begun fighting in the hallway in rapid pace, to the stairs of the castle, to the wide room in front of the stairs, until they reach the wide open area bailey of the castle, which numerous people of the Kingdom were currently fighting against the members of the Diabolos cult

Not once did both Adelfried and Akito took a breather in their battle, not once did they waste time to deliver a powerful blow, not once did they utter any type of skill to deter the enemy, all they did was attack and attack in every angle in order to outdone the enemy

Unfortunately both of them were adept in combat, thus wishing for one to actually let up was nothing but a shameless wishful thinking

With their weapons clashing against each other in rapid succession, causing numerous sparks and explosion to erupt in the surroundings, which even the air seemingly being swayed from their every attack, the surrounding people on both sides suddenly came to a halt as they witness the intense fight between two people that is happening right in front of them

Even Captain Kalego the person in charge of the Kingdom's elite force was taken aback by this situation, but nevertheless as a professional he simply snapped out of his trance and ordered everyone to apprehend the enemies, due to that the fight broke out once more, with two people killing each other at the center of the area

But such a place in the area wasn't enough for the two said people, as Adelfried suddenly took a huge step back and greatly enhances his weapon  which was then followed up by three condescending beams  attack at Akito's blind spot

Sadly Akito took notice of this hidden weapon as he quickly parried both Adelfried's strike alongside his hidden beam with one move 

"Tomura's Second Tactical Sword Form Sakura no odori (Dance of the cherry blossom)" 

After parrying the two attacks, Akito quickly spun around in a full 360 degrees as he jumped in the air at the same time and quickly delivering his counter

"Tomura's Second offensive sword form Takai kinchō (High Strung)" 

Just as expected Adelfried was fast enough to pull back his weapon after his initial failure and quickly using it to block Akito's attack

But as he blocked his strike, his weapon was then split in half by Akito's sword slash, forcing Adelfried to act instinctively jump back for quite a distance while sending out an instant cast 100 magic shots towards him

Unfortunately that too was successfully defended by Akito

"Tomura's First defensive sword form Tamari Mizu (Still Water)" 

Nullifying all those annoying attack, Akito then quickly shot forward in high speed as he released another torrent of an attack

"Tomura's Fourth offensive sword form 23-Pon no hakai no ken (23 swords of destruction)"

Sending out his own form of an attack towards Adelfried, he then was able to chip away Adelfried's body barrier as he quickly deliver a critical strike to his neck, but before his blades could hit his neck, Adelfried was instantly able to materialize another weapon made out of his own mana in a form of a sickle on both hand and successfully defended his neck with an evil smile

"You did great! unfortunately I'm better"
