🌺🍀Chapter 16 : Trouble At The Paradise Manor

You placed a kiss on Ah-Xu's forehead before tucking him with the blanket and left the bedroom. Once you reached the main hall, Xie Lian was in the Paradise manor and Hua Cheng was talking to him.

"So it's your home." Xie Lian commented. "Residence, not a home." Hua Cheng corrected. Xie Lian raise his brows. "Is there a difference?"

You chuckled and approached them. "I said that too then he said; A home has a family. A place where someone lives alone is not a home. If it's a home, then even a small place like Puqi Shrine would be better than my Paradise Manor." You says, mimicking Hua Cheng's tone teasingly. Xie Lian chuckles and smiled. "I didn't realize San Lang is this sentimental. But to make comparisons using my Puqi Shrine, you're really pulling my leg here." Hua Cheng laughed.

"Truth to be told, gege's Puqi Shrine is small but it's more comfortable than my Paradise Manor. It's more like a home."

Xie Lian warmly smiled. "Is that so? If you like it, in the future you can come  whenever you like it. My Shrine is always open for you and [Name]" Hua Cheng's face lit up. You chuckled. "I hope you don't think of me annoying in the future especially ah-Xu."

"No way!" Xie Lian paused then turn to Hua Cheng. "San Lang, by the way I want to ask you a favor. If you had a time." Hua Cheng asked. "What is it? Just ask and I'll believe, this is my territory anyway."

"My Lord i've brought him." A voice said that came from the door.

You looked to the front entrance and saw Waning Moon Officer from before, bowing just beyond the beaded curtain. The one in his arms was the ragged boy in bandages.

"Bring him in."

He brought the boy inside and gently put him down on the ground. Xie Lian bent down near the bandaged boy and instantly soothed him. "Don't be scared. I won't do it again, it was my fault last time."

Then you noticed the boy is looking directly towards the table and followed his gaze. He seems to be hungry and hadn't eaten for so many days. Xie Lian followed his line of sight and he was eyeing the sight of luscious fruits in the table. You smiled then handed Xie Lian the plate full of fruits. "Give this to him. He must be very hungry." You said.

It wasn't time to be polite so Xie Lian uttered thanks before giving it to the boy. The boy grabbed the plate from Xie Lian and started stuffing food into his mouth.

After a while, Xie Lian tried to talk the boy but he couldn't since he hasn't spoken for many years and even to Xiao Ying. He decided to changed the bandages in his face and apply a medicinal powder. While watching him, you can't help but notice how the boy has refined black eyes, straight nose and proper feature. Of only he doesn't have a human face disease, he must've been a handsome youth by now. However, you suddenly remembered something.

You then suddenly spoke. "Are you from Yong'an?" The boy nodded his head. Xie Lian felt his sight go dark and blurted out. "Have you met... White Clothed Calamity?" The boy was silent for a while and seemed to not know the ghost king.

You then noticed Xie Lian's hands trembling almost hurting the bandaged boy. Immediately, you take his hand before he could hurt the boy. "Perhaps you're tired. You should get some rest." As soon as you said those words, two girls entered to take away the boy. He looked back at you and Xie Lian as he was led away.

Xie Lian told him. "Don't worry, I'll go find you again in a bit. 

Suddenly, two pairs of will-o'-the-wisp and pixies twirled around you and whispered something in your ear. Your eyes widen in fraction for a moment then turn to Hua Cheng and Xie Lian.  "I need to leave for a bit. I'll be right back." You said and before they could say something, you had left going to the right main hall and exited.

The will-o'-the-wisp and pixies twirled around within the darkness in the main hall, lighting up your path. You had sneaked inside Black Immor's Mansion, looking for the missing heavenly official. After hearing the news about an Official setting off the distress signal seven days ago, you had a feeling it's one of the officials you knew. While walking in the entrance something caught your attention infront of the main hall, standing in the altar.

As you approached the statue as you came closer to it, the pixies and will-o'-the-wisp illuminating the statue. It wasn't a statue, it was a corpse body! When your gaze fell upon its face, you immediately recognized who this was.

It was Earth Master, Ming Yi!

"Earth master? Ming Yi?" You tried calling his name but to no avail he didn't respond. You felt the pulse on his wrist but you can't hear nothing, however, you felt a slight of a soul is still in his body.

"I hope this works." You take out a spirit trapping pouch from your sleeves and opens it. A few glowing blue piece of souls came out from the body and enters the pouch, once you gathered them you sealed the pouch.

"My Lord, what if Black Immor finds out?" The pixies asked. You smiled and the tip of your finger let's out a tiny blue piece of soul then inserts it inside the body. "Don't worry, he'll never know Ming Yi's soul left the body." You told them then turns around.

"Thank you for your cooperation everyone. You did a great job." You said gratefully then hides the pouch inside your sleeves. "It's our pleasure to assist you, my Lord." Before you had left the mansion, you made a last look at Earth Master's corpse body and exited the property.

After you had returned to the Paradise Manor, what surprised you was a sea fire infront of you! Your eyes widen and just a small wave of your hand, all the fires on the floor and ceiling were extinguished.

"What happened here?" You muttered. "Ah-[Name]?" You spun around and saw Hua Cheng wore a solemn expression. "San Lang, what's wrong? And what happened here?"

"Ah-[Name] you have to return to the heaven realm. Because of me gege is both injured and wounded." Hua Cheng explains.

You suddenly realized Wind Master and Lang Qianqiu must've fight Hua Cheng inside the Paradise Manor. If Xie Lian was wounded, that means he tried to stop them single handedly and got injured. And if Lang Qianqiu saw Xie Lian's swordsmanship then he must have figured out he's the Goushi of Yong'an!

"Ehm...but Ah-Xu----"

"Don't worry, he's fine. You have to return now!" Hua Cheng says. You nod your head and left the Paradise Manor.

"Oh no, another trouble in the heaven realm begins again..."
