Xie Lian called watching [name] entered the gate of the Puqi Shrine. [Name] lift his gaze and saw Xie Lian with Ling Wen standing on the door, her hand was bound by Rouye. "Ling Wen? Lian, Why is she here?" [name] asked, confused.

"Greetings General Xiānnǚ." Ling Wen spoke, making a slight bow. [Name] only nod his head in acknowledgement. Xie Lian gave you a motion "I'll-explain-later" and he went inside the shrine with Ling Wen.

After a while, [name] nonchalantly swings the basket of vegetables he carried. He then thought of Ling Wen alone with the Immortal brocade inside the Puqi Shrine, wondering of what action would Ling Wen take. As days passed by, Quan Yizhen seemed to have taken the Puqi Shrine some sort of happy farm. He's sometimes climbing on the trees, snagging fish, catching frogs and leaping up and down like a child.

[Name] chopped a few tomatoes and put them in the boiling pot when he heard Xie Lian cried to Qi Ying about eating a not yet cooked yam cause it's not edible. You shake your head, chuckling then called Lang Ying.

"Lang Ying, are you free? Can you help me chop the cabbages?" Lang Ying came over to your help without a second thought. He picked up the butcher knife on the cutting board and started cutting the cabbages.

Xie Lian entered the kitchen and saw you standing by the window in deep thought with your hand under your chin. "[Name]...[Name] Are you okay?" You jolted in surprise and spun around to face Xie Lian. "Lian! D-Do you need something?" You asked, raising your hand over to your chest in fright. Xie Lian gave you a look of concern. "You seemed to be in deep thought. Is something bothering you?"You contemplated for a moment then shake your head.

Xie Lian smiled, "If it's about leaving Ling Wen alone with the Immortal brocade, don't worry." He assured. You didn't say anything and looks away.

"Wow! Is this Tomato soup and Shrimp meat pie?"

You laughed at Xie Lian's cute "awe" reaction towards the dish you placed in the table. "Yup. Try some, there's still plenty in the pot. Lang Ying, you too" you said. Lang Ying paused for a second and take some of the shrimp meat pie. "Aiyaa. Your skills in cooking are so good, [name]." Xie Lian said, sipping a tomato soup in the bowl. You held a hand to your chest and dramatically bowed. "Thanks for the compliment. But it seems this is your first time eating my dish after eight hundred years." You said.

Xie Lian paused, remembering the past when he was still a crown prince. He always sneaks into the royal kitchen to watch [name] baked some delicious breakfast for the royal family. It always fascinated him to watch [name] skillfully bake delicious food. And gets to taste his irresistible dishes.

Xie Lian smiled at the memory. "Yeah...it reminds me of our great memories in the past."

After tasting the cooked dishes for a break time, they continued cooking a few dishes. While waiting for the other pot to boil, the two decided to have some chat with the little boy.
