"W-We...lost them..." Xie Lian panted, leaning against the wall to support himself. Hua Cheng breathes a heavy sigh, "And the place is too wide and big to search them." He said.
[Name] chuckled nervously, "Sorry 'bout that, I have forgotten this mansion many years passed. I just remembered I have a home." You said, sitting on the floor and look the other way to avoid the glare from your husbands.
'This is not a mansion, it's a huge castle!!!' Xie Lian and Hua Cheng internally screamed.
"[Name]...how old is this place?" Hua Cheng asked. You stood up, dusting the dirt on your knees. "I think... it's when I was young. This was given by my mother..." You answered.
"Your mother?" Xie Lian repeated. You nod and wandered your eyes around. He wanted to ask you further when you suddenly pointed your finger outside the window. "There! I saw kids over there!" You shouted. The two men turn their heads outside the window and saw their children gasped and started running away from them.
"They saw us!"
"Run for your life!" Hua Xiayan screamed.
"Get back here you guys!" [Name] shouted, jumping out from the window and chased after them. Xie Lian briefly laughs at the scene and starts following [name] when Hua Cheng called him. "Gege." Xie Lian turned around and saw Hua Cheng's pressed a block that's different from the color of the wall.
Hua Cheng made an eye contact with Xie Lian pressed the block further, after a while they heard a 'click' sound and a door opened behind them. The two men turned around and saw a tunnel, the torches on the wall started lighting up on their own and stairs rosed up from the ground.
"A hidden underground passage?" Xie Lian wondered aloud, hands under his chin when Hua Cheng boldly entered the tunnel without hesitation. "Ah! San Lang! There might be a trap!" He said, grabbing his sleeves. Hua Cheng looked over to his shoulder and said, "Gege, this is ah-[name]'s place. Why would there be a trap when the inside looks fancy." Xie Lian let go of his sleeve, looking confused. "What?"
"Come on, let's check it out!" Hua Cheng pulled him inside the tunnel and the moment Xie Lian stepped inside, the door closed on it's own. "Guess we gotta move forward to get out of here." Hua Cheng grinned. Xie Lian lightly hit him on the shoulder. "Ow!" Hua Cheng laughs.
They followed the stairs leading them to who knows where, soon they started noticing the walls compared to the ones near the entrance. It wasn't old and dusty with cobwebs but has a golden fancy color with green clover designs. The duo seemed to come into conclusion that they're nearing to their destination continued and finally reached to a red wooden oak door with green clovers. Xie Lian reach to touch the clover engravings similar to the pattern on [Name]'s robe.
"Could it be ah-[name]'s room before?" Xie Lian said. Hua Cheng didn't say anything and took the initiative open it the door, reaching for the doorknob. He twisted it and opens it slowly.
A room full of paintings greets them. As they entered the room, they started analyzing each people in the painting and noticed how blinding the frame was. Both men were in 'awe' as it struck to them that the frame was made of real gold!
"Gege, look at this." Hua Cheng called pointing at a particular painting infront. Xie Lian snap out of his trance and followed his finger pointing at something. His eyes grow wide in disbelief.
Of all the paintings they saw, there were two particular huge painting hang on the wall. The first painting is a beautiful woman sitting in a fancy chair, she has long silver hair and her eye color is emerald, she wore a red robe with green linings and a dragon design on it. Her long hair was half tied into a bun by jade hairpins with flower pommels. Behind her were two young men, they both wore the same white robes with red linings and dragon design.
"These children looks like..." Xie Lian spoke, noticing how the two young men looks like [name]. "I assume the woman is their mother but..." Hua Cheng said. "Did [name] have a twin brother?" He wondered aloud. Xie Lian looked down and saw an engraved word on the golden frame below.
"The Royal Shao Family, Queen Shao Yuxi and her two sons, Crown Prince Shao [Name] and Shao Yuze."
The Moment Xie Lian read those words, a blinding light covers the room, Hua Cheng springs into action and pulled Xie Lian close to him. They braced their selves upon the light and the light swallowed their body.
