jaydas POV

i was debating if i wanted to go back home to go to my best friends funeral. that city is just very traumatic for me in so many ways. now i had another reason in my list. but i needed to be there.

i sighed and got back up packing my bag.

"please let me come with you it's not safe and you know it" lee said

"you know what come i don't know what i'm thinking" i said

"just try and relax you haven't gotten any sleep" he said rubbing my shoulders

i took a deep breathe and wiped the tears from my eyes.

i finished packing my bags and laid down until it was time to go to the airport. he laid next to me and just held me.

lee's pov

i didn't know when to tell her but i knew i had to soon. right now all her emotions were just high and i didn't know how she would react of this at all.

i sighed and got up and made myself a pack of ramen noodles.

monty walked in from playing outside.

"you gon be back for your interview" he asked gulping a half frozen gatorade

"yes and while i'm gone don't be slacking one day off-

"can lead to one once very bright future ruined yes yes i know" he said

after wards we sat down and watched sun clips on youtube.

i was in the bathroom ruining water hyperventilating badly. i was gonna end up ruining him and montys life who knows who else. i would kill him myself.

i couldn't wait to go.

knock knock

"babe you okay"

"yes i was just using the bathroom i said splashing water on my face and unlocking the door

he came in and peed.

"look if it's too much to go we won't" he said flushing the toilet

"no i need to" i said sniffling

i turned around and looked at him as he leaned over me to wash his hands.

he kissed me and i kissed back. i deepened it and he pulled me closer to him while locking the door.

hours later

we were at the airport i was in walgreens getting a plan b. while he was getting breakfast.

we tried to eat quickly knowing we would be boarding soon. we threw our stuff away and got in line.

i laid my head on his shoulder. i was going to sleep the entire time.

back home.

we were at lee's house eating sum american deli. after i ate i got dressed because i was going over to mars moms house.

"you coming" i asked pulling my braids out the bonnet

"nah that's not right it's a family gathering" he said

"okay well hopefully im not out too late" i said kissing him before getting in the car.

i  had to drive past mars house to get there and immediately started to tear up. i wiped my tears as i pulled into her moms driveway.

i got out and she answered the door and pulled me into a hug. we cried together and she led me to the couch.

"i'm so sorry" i said

"it's not your fault we gon get him we really are" she said sniffling

i told her mom how i felt something was right and how i thought it was dave and she is a psychic so she had a feeling too.

i was just catching up on my life with her and shit and she was basically proud of me for pushing through.

she fixed me a plate of food and i talked to a few more of her family members. it was getting late so i headed home.
