Time skip of 5 years:
"AHAHAHAHAHA!" Yongbok screeched running down the street away from his father after school one day.
"YONGBOK! YOU BETTER STOP THIS INSTANT!" San hollered, frantically chasing after his five-year-old son who had managed to escape from his grip.
This wasn’t okay. Yongbok knew full well his father had an important meeting to attend to yet he decided it would be amusing to run down the street and have his father catch him.
"CHOI YONGBOK!"
Yongbok took a second to turn to look at how far his father was and laughed in glee when he realized he was still quite far behind due to all the people he had to get past. He sped up so that his father was even further behind and slowed down when he thought he had gotten far enough.
It was a sight to see a full-grown man in an expensive suit running down a street while clutching onto a bright purple kid backpack and a water bottle with tiny fishes decorating it.
"DAMN IT YONGBOK I HAVE A MEETING TO ATTEND TO!"
Yongbok squealed when he heard the voice close by and he started sprinting again.
"CHOI YONGBOK!"
There was anger in San's voice and the child knew he would get in trouble anyway so might as well have fun while it lasted. He risked a glance behind him and in the second he had looked back, he ended up crashing onto a stranger’s leg.
"Ow!"
Yongbok stumbled back a bit and held the place on his head where he hit. He glanced up at the man he ran into and the first thing the child instantly realized was that his purple hair was so pretty.
"Are you okay, sweetie?" the pretty male asked, gently grabbing onto Yongbok's shoulder and squatting down. "Did you get hurt?"
He quickly shook his head as a no and made a move to sidestep the male, but he was grabbed by the shoulder and yanked back.
"Choi Yongbok, we will have a serious conversation about this later. I have a meeting to attend to and I am now fifteen minutes late thanks to your antics. Tell the man sorry and we can go."
Yongbok looked into the pretty man’s eyes and bowed his head in apology.
"I’m sorry for not looking where I was going and crashing into you," Yongbok whispered.
"It’s alright. Now go with your dad and don’t cause too much trouble, okay?"
San placed Yongbok inside the vehicle that had pulled up beside them and turned to the male to apologize once more before they sped off to the company.
Yongbok sat beside his dad in the back seat and remained silent during the ten-minute ride. In all honesty, he wasn’t really scared of whatever his punishment was going to be, he was just feeling bad about making his father late for his important meeting.
"I’m sorry," Yongbok whispered, fiddling with his tiny fingers.
San let out a deep sigh and looked at his son from his peripheral side. He didn’t say anything except gently rubbed his hand over his son’s head. Yongbok knew he wasn’t fully forgiven yet but he now knew his father wasn’t angry anymore but instead disappointed.
They arrived at the company and San briskly walked to the elevator to get to the meeting room as quickly as possible. Yongbok struggled to stay with the fast pace but managed by forcing his tiny legs to go quick.
"Sit on that chair and don’t you dare move," San commanded, pointing to a chair in the corner of the meeting room once they arrived. "If you get up and cause chaos, your punishment will be worse than what it already is."
